Luigi Dossena
Luigi Dossena (28 May 1925 – 9 September 2007) was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who spent his career in the diplomatic service of the Holy See. Biography Luigi Dossena was born in Campagnola Cremasca, Italy, on 28 May 1925. He was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Crema on 25 March 1951. To prepare for a diplomatic career, he entered the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy in 1953. His early assignments in the diplomatic service include a stint in the Dominican Republic. On 27 February 1973, Pope Paul VI appointed him a titular archbishop and Apostolic Pro-Nuncio to Korea. He received his episcopal consecration on 25 March 1973 from Cardinal Jean-Marie Villot. On 24 October 1978, Pope John Paul II named him Apostolic Pro-Nuncio to Cape Verde, Niger, Senegal, and Upper Volta and also Apostolic Delegate to Mali, Guinea-Bissau, and Mauritania. Apostolic Nunciature To Peru
The Apostolic Nunciature to the Republic of Peru is an ecclesiastical office of the Roman Catholic Church in Peru. It is a diplomatic post of the Holy See, whose representative is called the Apostolic Nuncio with the rank of an ambassador. Papal representation was established in Peru by the Apostolic Delegation to Peru and Bolivia, a single office resident in Peru. As a delegation, it had no diplomatic status but acted on behalf of the Holy See with respect to the Catholic Church in the region. This was then divided to create a nunciature for each country, a diplomatic office. Archbishop Angelo Giacinto Scapardini was named Apostolic Delegate to Peru and Bolivia in 1910. When he was assigned to his next diplomatic post in December 1916, he was described as Internuncio to Peru and Bolivia. A pontifical ( la, pontificale) is a Christian liturgical book containing the liturgies that only a bishop may perform. Among the liturgies are those of the ordinal for the ordination and consecration of deacons, priests, and bishops to Holy Orders. Henryk Józef Nowacki
Henryk Józef Nowacki (born 11 August 1946) is a Polish prelate of the Catholic Church who has spent his career in the diplomatic service of the Holy See. Biography Nowacki was born on 11 August 1946 in Gunzenhausen. He was ordained a priest on 31 May 1970 by Jerzy Karol Ablewicz, Bishop of Tarnów. On 8 February 2001, Pope John Paul II appointed him titular archbishop of Blera and Apostolic Nuncio to Slovakia. He received his episcopal consecration from John Paul II on 19 March. On 28 November 2007, Pope Benedict XVI named him Apostolic Nuncio to Nicaragua. Benedict appointed him Apostolic Nuncio in Sweden and Iceland on 28 June 2012. On 6 October 2012 Nowacki was named Apostolic Nuncio in Denmark, Finland and Norway as well. He retired in February 2017 for health reasons after a private audience with Pope Francis.
