Lugubre
Lugubre is a black metal band from Friesland, Netherlands. It started as a solo project in 1999 by Striid. He started to spread his "anti-human" black metal with his first demo "Kriich" in 1999, which was released by at War Records (known from their releases of Judas Iscariot, Tsjuder and Blasphemous Evil). Hermit, teamed up with founding member Striid in 2000 and they formed a band around them in 2001. In 2003 Lugubre signed to Folter Records and released their debut album, ''Anti Human Black Metal''. Early years (1993–1999) The idea for Lugubre was first born in 1993 when Striid (at that time called Iskaroth) was inspired by the second wave of black metal and started recording a demo for his first solo project "Winterlord" which was released in 66 handmade copies. Leeuwarden
Leeuwarden (; fy, Ljouwert, longname=yes /; Town Frisian: ''Liwwadden''; Leeuwarder dialect: ''Leewarden'') is a city and municipality in Friesland, Netherlands, with a population of 123,107 (2019). The ''Stahlhelm'' () is a German military steel combat helmet intended to provide protection against shrapnel and fragments of grenades. The term ''Stahlhelm'' refers both to a generic steel helmet and more specifically to the distinctive German military design. The armies of major European powers introduced helmets of this type during World War I. Misanthropy
Misanthropy is the general hatred, dislike, distrust or contempt of the human species, human behavior or human nature. A misanthrope or misanthropist is someone who holds such views or feelings. Diabolique (band)
Diabolique is a Swedish gothic metal band formed in 1995 after the dissolution of '' Liers in Wait''. The group is heavily influenced by The Sisters of Mercy, Black Sabbath, and Fields of the Nephilim, and in sound are similar to the styles of Charon, Tiamat, Moonspell, and Type O Negative. The band's current and former line-up has consisted of many musicians from progenital Gothenburg melodic death metal bands; Kristian Wåhlin, Johan Osterberg, and Alf Svensson were in Grotesque (a predecessor of At the Gates, who Alf would eventually join); and Daniel Svensson briefly played drums with the group before going on to major success with In Flames.
