Lug Valley
Lug Valley is a valley in the Kullu District of the Himalayan region in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India India, officially the Republic of India (Hindi: ), is a country in South Asia. For the last 150 years, the people of the valley have been forest contractors in extracting timber from the forest. Today, the main forest contractors in the Himalayan region are still found in the Lug valley. The Lug valley in Kullu is reportedly the place where the concept of using cables and trolleys for transportation was first employed by the British Forest Department to transport timber out of Himachal Pradesh forests in the early twentieth century. Kullu District
Kullu is a List of districts in India, district in Himachal Pradesh, India. It borders Rampur, Himachal Pradesh, Rampur district to the south, Mandi district, Mandi and Kangra district, Kangra districts to the west, and the Lahaul and Spiti district, Lahaul and Spiti district to the north and east. The largest valley in this mountainous district is the Kullu Valley. The Kullu valley follows the course of the Beas River, and ranges from an elevation of 833m above sea level at Aut to 3330m above sea level at the Atal Tunnel South Portal, below the Rohtang Pass. The town of Kullu, or simply Kullu, located on the right side of the Beas River, serves as the administrative headquarters of the Kullu district. Valleys Of Himachal Pradesh
A valley is an elongated low area often running between hills or mountains, which will typically contain a river or stream running from one end to the other. Most valleys are formed by erosion of the land surface by rivers or streams over a very long period. Some valleys are formed through erosion by glacial ice.
