Zilupe Municipality
Zilupe Municipality ( lv, Zilupes novads) is a former municipality in the historical region of Latgale, and the Latgale Planning Region in Latvia. The municipality was formed in 2002 by merging Zaļesje Parish and Zilupe. In 2009 it absorbed Lauderi Parish and Pasiene Parish, the administrative centre being Zilupe. Zilupe, Lauderi, Zaļesje and Pasiene are among the towns and villages located in the municipality. The population as of 2020 was 2,575. On 1 July 2021, Zilupe Municipality ceased to exist and its territory was merged into Ludza Municipality. Rundēni Parish
Rundēni parish ( lv, Rundēnu pagasts) is located in southwest Ludza District in Latvia. It borders on the Pildas, Nirza, Lauderu and Istras parishes of the Ludza District; the Škaunes and Ezernieku parishes of the Krāslava District; and the Kaunatas parish of Rezekne District. It is a distance of 33 km from the village of Rundēni at the parish centre up to District centre - Ludza. Up to Riga, the capital city of Latvia, it is 315 km. Population and national structure In the Census of 2000, from a population of 800, there were 231 residents of Latvian nationality, 522 Russians, and 23 Belarusians. Pasiene Parish
Pasiene Parish ( lv, Pasienes pagasts) was an administrative unit of the now defunct Ludza District in Latvia. As a result of the 2009 administrative divisions reform of Latvia, Lauderi Parish was absorbed by Zilupe Municipality. Since 1 July 2021, Lauderi Parish is part of Ludza Municipality.
