Ludmila Velikova
Ludmila Georgiyevna Velikova (russian: Людмила Георгиевна Великова; ''née'' Sinitsina, russian: Синицина; born November 4, 1947 in Leningrad) is a Russian pair skating coach and former competitor. Ludmila Sinitsina, now known as Velikova, competed with her husband Nikolai Velikov, placing fifth at the Soviet Championships. Velikov later retired from competitive skating and became the coach of his wife with Anatoly Yevdokimov, a team who won bronze medals at the 1972 USSR Cup and 1973 RSFSR. After the end of her career, Velikova also turned to coaching pairs alongside her husband. Based in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Maria Mukhortova
Maria Vladimirovna Mukhortova (russian: Мария Владимировна Мухортова; born 20 November 1985) is a Russian pair skater. With former partner Maxim Trankov, she is the 2008 European silver medalist, a five-time Grand Prix medalist (including one gold medal at Trophée Eric Bompard), 2005 World Junior champion, 2004 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, and 2007 Russian national champion. In her early career, she competed with Egor Golovkin and Pavel Lebedev. She also competed one season with Jérôme Blanchard. Personal life Mukhortova was born in Saint Petersburg but began skating in her father's hometown of Lipetsk when she was 6 years old. RIA Novosti (russian: РИА Новости), sometimes referred to as RIAN () or RIA (russian: РИА, label=none) is a Russian state-owned domestic news agency. Unified Sports Classification System of the USSR (russian: Единая Всесоюзная спортивная классификация) is a document which provided general Soviet physical education system requirements for both athletes and coaches. Similar systems still exist today in several former Soviet republics. Sergei Gennadyevich Slavnov (russian: Серге́й Геннадьевич Славнов; born 11 March 1982) is a Russian pair skater. He is best known for his partnership with Julia Obertas, with whom he competed from 2003 to 2007. Together, they are the 2005 European silver medalists. Previously, Slavnov competed with Julia Karbovskaya, with whom he is the 2002 World Junior silver medalist. Career Sergei Slavnov began skating at age 5, originally as a single skater, and switched to pair skating at age 16. Alexei Vladimirovich Sokolov (russian: Алексей Владимирович Соколов; born 15 January 1979) is a Russian pair skating coach and former competitor. With Julia Obertas, he won two Grand Prix medals and placed within the top ten at two ISU Championships. He is the 1998 World Junior silver medalist with Svetlana Nikolaeva and the 2000 World Junior bronze medalist with Julia Shapiro. Anton Tarielyevich Sikharulidze (russian: link=no, Антон Тариэльевич Сихарулидзе, born 25 October 1976) is a Russian former pair skater. With Elena Berezhnaya, he is the 1998 and 1999 World champion, 1998 Olympic silver medalist and 2002 Olympic champion. His first partner was Maria Petrova, with whom he became the 1994 and 1995 World Junior Champion. He began competing with Berezhnaya in 1996 after helping her recover from an accident with her previous partner.
