Luca Brasi (band)
Luca Brasi are an Australian rock band formed in St Helens, Tasmania in 2009. The current line-up of the band features Thomas Busby on lead guitar, Danny Flood on drums, Patrick Marshall on rhythm guitar and vocals, and Tyler Richardson on lead vocals and bass guitar. To date, the group have released five studio albums: ''Extended Family'' (2011), ''By a Thread'' (2014), '' If This Is All We're Going to Be'' (2016), ''Stay'' (2018) and ''Everything Is Tenuous'' (2021). ''Stay'' became their first ARIA top 10. The band are currently signed to Cooking Vinyl Australia, and have toured with bands such as Violent Soho, Pup, You Me at Six, Turnover and Pianos Become the Teeth. St Helens, Tasmania
St Helens is the largest town on the north-east coast of Tasmania, Australia, on Georges Bay. It is known as the game fishing capital of Tasmania and is also renowned for its oysters (as are some other areas of Tasmania). It is located on the Tasman Highway, about 160 km east of Tasmania's second largest city, Launceston. In the early 2000s, the town was one of the fastest growing areas of Tasmania, and reached a population of 2049 at the 2006 census. By the time of the , it had a population of 2,206. Slowly Slowly are an Australian pop punk and indie rock band from Melbourne, Victoria. The band consists of Ben Stewart (lead vocals, guitar), Patrick Murphy (drums), Albert Doan (guitar), and Alex Quayle (bass guitar). They released their debut album ''Chamomile'' in 2016. Moaning Lisa are an Australian rock band formed in Canberra in 2016. The group has released two EPs, ''The Sweetest'' in 2017, and ''Do You Know Enough?'' in 2018. The four members of Moaning Lisa studied music in Canberra. They are singer-bassist Charlie Versegi, singer-guitarist Hayley Manwaring, lead guitarist Ellen Chan, and drummer Hayden Fritzlaff. Their music has been described as punk rock, grunge rock, and shoegaze. In 2016, they won the National Campus Band Competition, and garnered media coverage for speaking out against anti-social behaviour at gigs. Drug Church is an American post-hardcore band from Albany, New York, United States. The band has released four albums, as well as several EPs. History Drug Church started as a side project for singer Patrick Kindlon of Self Defense Family. After having released a three-song demo online in 2011, the band got signed by No Sleep Records by the beginning of 2012. Drug Church then signed to Pure Noise Records in 2018 who released their album, "Cheer". Camp Cope are an Australian alternative rock trio formed in 2015 in Melbourne, Victoria. The group consists of lead singer, songwriter and guitarist Georgia "Georgia Maq" McDonald, bassist Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich, and drummer Sarah "Thomo" Thompson. Paul Maurice Kelly (born 13 January 1955) is an Australian rock music singer-songwriter and guitarist. Like A Version
''Like a Version'' is a weekly segment on Australian youth radio station Triple J. It involves Australian and international artists playing two songs live in the Triple J studio, one of their own songs (an "original") and then a cover version, hence the name of the segment. The title is wordplay on the Madonna song " Like a Virgin". It was created by Mel Bampton as part of the ''Mel in the Morning'' program. The segment was later moved to Robbie Buck's Drive program, and then to the Breakfast Show. Due to the intimate nature of the studio, the performance is often acoustic or otherwise stripped-back, however some bands have stretched this concept. The segment has grown in popularity over the years, leading to the release of compilation CDs featuring the best covers. Some particularly well-received covers have also made it into the Triple J Hottest 100.
