Lsjbot
Lsjbot is an automated Wikipedia article-creating program, or Wikipedia bot, developed by Sverker Johansson for the Swedish Wikipedia. The bot primarily focuses on articles about living organisms and geographical entities (such as rivers, dams, and mountains). According to its description page on the Swedish Wikipedia, Lsjbot was active in the Swedish and Waray Wikipedias and is currently active in the Cebuano Wikipedia, and has created most Wikipedia articles in those languages (between 80% and 99% of the total). During 2020, Lsjbot was only performing maintenance on the Cebuano Wikipedia, with no major article creation projects underway. The Swedish Wikipedia ( sv, Svenskspråkiga Wikipedia) is the Swedish-language edition of Wikipedia and was started on the 23 of May 2001. It is currently the largest Wikipedia by article count with its current articles, it has a ''Wikipedia article depth'' of . A majority were generated by Lsjbot, a bot, or software application. The administrators on the Swedish Wikipedia (currently ) are elected for a fixed-term period of one year and have to be re-elected after that time. History Swedish Wikipedia was launched by Jimmy Wales on the 23 May 2001 as Wikipedia's 4th language version. Cebuano Wikipedia
The Cebuano Wikipedia ( ceb, Wikipedya sa Sinugboanon) is the Cebuano-language edition of Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia. It currently contains articles, most of which were created by the automated program Lsjbot. There are active users. The Waray Wikipedia is the Waray language edition of Wikipedia. It is hosted on servers run by the Wikimedia Foundation since 25 September 2005. As of , , this edition has articles and is the largest Wikipedia edition. Despite having very few active users (), the Waray Wikipedia has a high number of automatically generated articles created by bots, most of them by Swedish Wikipedian Sverker Johansson's Lsjbot. Sverker Johansson
Sverker Johansson (born 1961) is a Swedish physicist, linguist, textbook author and university professor. He created Lsjbot, a Wikipedia bot. Biography Sverker Johansson studied technical physics at the University of Lund from 1979 to 1982. He moved to the University of Gothenburg in 1982 where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1984. He performed basic military service at Eksjö and participated in research and experiments in particle physics and particle acceleration at the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) and the Large Electron-Positron Storage Ring (LEP). From November 1990 to June 1992, with the support of the Manne Siegbahn Institute, research was carried out in the field of Neutrino Astronomy Research. After moving to Jönköping in 1992, he devoted himself to linguistics.
