Dolapo Adeleke (born 6 September 1990), also known as LowlaDee is a multiple award winning filmmaker from Nigeria. Early life and education Born on September 6, 1990, in Kano State Nigeria, Adeleke began writing at an early age, publishing two literature books before university. Adeleke had her secondary education at Dansol High School, Lagos State. She graduated with a second-class upper in Mass Communication from Covenant University in 2011. Career In an interview with Busayo Adekoya of '' ThisDay Newspaper'', she stated that she began directing films at 21. In 2012, she was included in Vanguard list of young Nigerians making significant impact, and was noted to have won Best teen writer of the year award by Angles Magazine for writing ''Flesh and Blood'' and ''The Little White Hen''. ''Brave'' is a 2014 Nigerian short film directed by LowlaDee with Adesua Etomi and Wole Ojo in lead roles. The film is loosely inspired from a "Page 88" in ''The Lady, Her Lover & Her Lord'' by American author, T.D Jakes. The film tells a story of a young couple whose marriage came crumbling when the husband is diagnosed with flaccid paralysis after an accident. It was released on irokotv in 2014. It received generally positive reviews for its powerful interpretation in conveying important messages upon release, also getting nominated and winning awards. 2022 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards
The 2022 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards held on Saturday, 14 May 2022 at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos. It was set an 8-day event which started on Saturday, 7 May 2022, unlike previous 1 day events. The nominees were revealed by actors, Adesua Etomi-Wellington and Daniel Etim Effiong on Saturday 19 March 2022 in a ceremony. A total of 33 categories were announced, 12 of which are open to public voting. Best Online Social Content Creator was introduced as a new category. The winner in the Best Soundtrack category is set to won a ₦1 million prize.
