Lower Definition is an American post-hardcore band from San Diego, California, United States, formed in 2002. The band released two studio albums and six EPs before disbanding in 2009. After that they released an EP in 2011 called 'The Infinite Et Cetera'. In 2020 the band reunited and has since released 4 songs. History 2002-2009 Lower Definition was formed in 2002 by Eddy Marshburn and Valentino Arteaga. Marshburn's sister introduced the two and they began rehearsing, soon connecting with other musicians. The band started out playing in the all-ages scene of San Diego. The band, still unsigned, won a slot on the Taste of Chaos tour at the San Diego Sports Arena in 2006 resulting from a contest held by MySpace. Their demo song "Higher Than Kites" features Vic Fuentes of Pierce The Veil. Chad Ackerman
Chad Daniel Ackerman (born November 30, 1983) is a rock singer, songwriter, musician, writer, director, actor, and producer. Ackerman's debut as a singer/songwriter was on November 30, 2012 under the name "A Veil" with an album entitled ''The in Between''. He has also been the vocalist for the bands Chapter 14, and Count Your Curses. He was the voice parody of Arnold Schwarzenegger for the band Austrian Death Machine. Ackerman was previously the vocalist for the band Destroy the Runner, guitarist for As I Lay Dying, and Die Trying. Jamie's Elsewhere are an American post-hardcore band formed in Sacramento, California, United States, in 2005. They were signed to Victory Records before deciding not to renew their contract with the label, and have released three full-length albums; ''Guidebook for Sinners Turned Saints'' in 2008, ''They Said a Storm Was Coming'' in 2010 and '' Rebel-Revive'' in 2014. Gwen Stacy was an American metalcore band from Indianapolis, Indiana, active between 2004 and 2010. Their name came from the character Gwen Stacy, who appeared in the comic book ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' as the girlfriend of Peter Parker. The band announced a reunion in April 2014. Destroy the Runner is an American heavy metal band from San Diego, California, United States. Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying managed them for their album ''Saints'', and did so again with Jason Rudolph for their second album '' I, Lucifer''. History Destroy the Runner was signed by Solid State Records, on which their debut album ''Saints'' was released on September 12, 2006, to mixed reviews. Their name is reportedly a reference to the 1976 film ''Logan's Run''. The band followed the release of the album with a tour supporting Haste the Day and Scary Kids Scaring Kids, which was followed by tours with August Burns Red and The Chariot.
