Mynydd Y Betws
Mynydd y Betws is a mountain or large hill located on the northern side of the border between Swansea and Carmarthenshire in South Wales, between Ammanford and Clydach. It is an area of upland with large stretches of tussocky grassland. The medieval castle of Penlle'r Castell is located on Mynydd y Gwair to the south-south west, Mynydd y Betws Wind Farm is prominent with fifteen wind turbines. Geography A small road between Ammanford and Clydach passes close to the summit. Wind farm Mynydd y Betws is the site of a wind turbine farm. It was granted planning permission in 2009 and started producing electricity in 2013. The original developers of the site were the renewable energy generating company Eco2, but in 2010, they sold the site to the Irish semi-state electricity utility ESB. Cwmgors is a village in the county of Glamorgan, and administered as part of the unitary authority borough of Neath Port Talbot, Wales. It is part of the community of Gwaun-cae-Gurwen and lies within the ceremonial county of West Glamorgan. Clydach, Swansea
Clydach is both a village and a community in Swansea, Wales, within the Clydach ward and the Llangyfelach parish. It is located northeast of Swansea city centre. In 2011, the population was 7,503. Welsh is the first language of 24 per cent of the population and both Welsh and English language schools are available. The village lies close to the M4 motorway which can be accessed via the bypass or old road via Ynystawe. The community includes part of the village of Glais. Cwm Clydach RSPB Reserve
Cwm Clydach is a nature reserve on the outskirts of Clydach, Swansea, Wales. It is run by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds ( RSPB). It is ancient broadleaved woodland and is home to breeding pied flycatchers, redstarts, dippers and buzzards. The Lower Clydach River flows through the centre of the reserve. Walks & Trails Public paths and trails are open from dawn to dusk. There are two main trails which begin at the main car park. The shortest, known as the Nixon trail is a 2.2 km circular walk which is suitable for pushchairs Various methods of transporting children have been used in different cultures and times.
