''Low Stars'' is the debut album from Los Angeles band Low Stars. Signed by Hear Music, and released through Starbucks, the album features single "Calling All Friends", which was the theme song for ABC television series ''What About Brian''. "Need a Friend" and "LA Forever" were featured in TV and film respectively. "Just Around the Corner" was the featured video from the album. The cover photograph by Henry Diltz was taken in Agora Hills at the same location where he shot the cover of the Eagles' ''Desperado''. Low Stars
Low Stars is a musical project of Dave Gibbs and Chris Seefried, that captures the sound of classic bands like Crosby, Stills, and Nash and The Eagles. History Low Stars began when Dave Gibbs was holding his annual benefit for the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. Chris Seefried was on the bill, as well as Jude, who was added at the last minute. At the time, Gibbs was already playing on another project with Jeff Russo. Afterwards, the group ended up playing and singing on Russo's front porch in Hollywood. When a girl inside heard the music they were playing she commented that she missed that kind of music and the idea for the project was born. Starbucks Entertainment's attention was caught by the project and they offered to add them to their Hear Music Debut series, which is designed to introduce Starbucks customers to upcoming artists. Desperado (Eagles Album)
''Desperado'' is the second studio album by the American band the Eagles. It was released on April 17, 1973, by Asylum Records. The album was produced by Glyn Johns and was recorded at Island Studios in London, England. The songs on ''Desperado'' are based on the themes of the Old West. The band members are featured on the album's cover dressed like an outlaw gang; ''Desperado'' remains the only Eagles album where the band members appear on the front cover. Although the title track is one of the Eagles' signature songs, it was never released as a single. The song "Desperado" was ranked number 494 on ''Rolling Stone'' 2004 list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". The album did yield two singles, "Tequila Sunrise" and "Outlaw Man", which reached number 64 and number 59 respectively. Charlie Gillingham
Charles Thomas Gillingham (born January 26, 1960) is a keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist best known for his performance on the Hammond B-3 organ, accordion, piano, and keyboards for the band Counting Crows. He has also played the bass guitar in live shows during certain songs such as " Holiday in Spain". Gillingham attended Richard Henry Dana Junior High in San Pedro, California, and also attended Miraleste High School in Rancho Palos Verdes his sophomore, junior and senior year. He was a member of Slip Stream, Clark, Kent, and the Reporters, Midnight Radio, Zip Code Revue, and played keyboards on Train's 1998 debut album. In 2004, Gillingham was nominated for an Oscar as co-composer of the song " Accidentally in Love". Gene Clark
Harold Eugene Clark (November 17, 1944 – May 24, 1991) was an American singer-songwriter and founding member of the folk rock band the Byrds. He was the Byrds' principal songwriter between 1964 and early 1966, writing most of the band's best-known originals from this period, including "I'll Feel a Whole Lot Better", "She Don't Care About Time", "Eight Miles High" and "Set You Free This Time". Chris Seefried is an American singer, musician, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known as the lead vocalist and frontman of the bands Gods Child, Joe 90, and Low Stars, and as producer and co-writer for the neo-soul band Fitz and the Tantrums.
