Loving (band)
Loving is a Canadian psychedelic folk band from Victoria, British Columbia. The group got its start with the release of their self-titled EP in 2016. The groups' members include David Parry, and brothers Lucas and Jesse Henderson. Parry is a multi-instrumentalist and producer, while brothers Lucas and Jesse share lyric writing credits and contribute vocals to their records. All three members have written songs for the group. History Loving released their self-titled EP in June 2016. After an unexpectedly positive response, Loving pressed a 12" vinyl of their EP, with two additional tracks, roughly three years after their EP's initial release. Loving County, Texas
Loving County is a county in the U.S. state of Texas. With a population of 64 per the 2020 census, it is the least-populous county in the United States. Its county seat and only community is Mentone. The county was originally created in 1887, and after being disorganized in 1897, was reorganized in 1931. History Nomadic hunters inhabited the area during prehistory. Antonio de Espejo traveled in the area in 1583, and crossed the Pecos River. Immigrants used a ford, later named Pope's Crossing, for travel in the 1840s. John Pope surveyed the area in 1854, for the building of a transcontinental railroad. He created a camp in 1855, and conducted three drilling attempts, but only found water once and was unable to access it. Andrew A. Humphreys ordered Pope to end his drilling and abandon the camp on July 10, 1858. Soldiers were stationed at the camp created by Pope from 1858 to 1861. Loving, Texas
Loving is an unincorporated community in Young County, Texas, United States. It lies on State Highway 114 eighteen miles southeast of Olney in the northeastern part of the county. As of the 2000 Census, the population was estimated to be 300. History Loving was founded in 1907 on land that was part of the Lost Valley Loving Ranch, owned by Oliver Loving who was the grandson of the famous cattle drover, Oliver Loving. The town was moved approximately one mile to the north in 1909 in order to be along the Gulf, Texas and Western Railroad. Trinity Townsite Company trustee B.B. Cain platted the new town on land purchased from the Steadham brothers, members of a local ranching family. Loving grew at a slow but steady pace throughout the early and middle part of the twentieth century and by 1930 possessed several churches, businesses as well as its own school, bank, and church. Loving is a village in Eddy County, New Mexico. As of the 2010 census, the village population was 1,413. Loving was settled by Swiss immigrants in the 1890s. Geography Loving is located in southeastern Eddy County at (32.285417, -104.096720). U.S. Route 285 passes through the west side of the village, leading northwest to Carlsbad, the county seat, and southeast to Pecos, Texas. The Pecos River flows southwards east of Loving. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of , all land.
