''Lovin' Every Minute of It'' is the fourth studio album, released in 1985 by the rock band Loverboy. The album became a hit thanks to the title track which reached #9 at US Hot 100, while "This Could Be The Night" was #10, "Dangerous" #65 and "Lead A Double Life" #68. The album went double platinum, being the last of the band's to do so. Due to scheduling conflicts this is the first album the band did not use Bruce Fairbairn as their producer. Tom Allom was hired as a replacement. "Lovin' Every Minute of It" is a song released in 1985 on the Canadian rock band Loverboy's Lovin' Every Minute of It, album of the same title. The song reached #9 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 becoming their first US Top 10 hit, when released as a single later that year. It was written by Robert John "Mutt" Lange.LP liner notes. In Canada, the song peaked at #11. Background Loverboy were almost done writing songs for their upcoming album, but they felt they needed one more song — preferably a big hit — to round out the record. However, everyone in the band was out of ideas. They begged their manager, Mike Shipley, to find someone who could write one more song. Shipley called legendary producer Mutt Lange, who agreed and wrote "Lovin' Every Minute of It" in two or three days. Loverboy
Loverboy is a Canadian rock band formed in 1979 in Calgary, Alberta. Loverboy's hit singles, particularly " Turn Me Loose" and "Working for the Weekend", have become arena rock staples and are still heard on many classic rock and classic hits radio stations across Canada and the United States. After being rejected by many American record labels, they signed with Columbia/CBS Records Canada and began recording their first album on March 20, 1980. Thomas Cunningham Thayer (born November 7, 1960) is an American musician and songwriter. He is the lead guitarist and vocalist for the American hard rock band Kiss. The Best were an English–American supergroup originally formed in London in 1990, featuring Keith Emerson (of Emerson, Lake & Palmer) on keyboards, John Entwistle (of the Who) on bass and vocals, Joe Walsh (Eagles, James Gang, and solo fame) on guitar and vocals, Jeff "Skunk" Baxter (Steely Dan, the Doobie Brothers) on guitar, and Simon Phillips (the Jack Bruce band, 801, the Jeff Beck Group; later of Toto) on drums. Relative unknown Rick Livingstone sang lead vocals (along with Walsh and Entwistle). Backing vocals were provided by Hamish, Angus and Fergus Richardson of the band Brother. Ramon Wayne "Ra" McGuire (born June 13, 1950) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and founding and longtime member of the rock band Trooper. Ra (pronounced "Ray") has performed with Trooper and Brian Smith from 1975, when their first album was released, to the present day. As a songwriter, McGuire has been nominated four times for the 'Composer of the Year' Juno Award. Donald Scott Smith (13 February 1955 – 30 November 2000) was a Canadian musician and the bassist for Canadian rock band Loverboy. Mike Reno
Mike Reno (born Joseph Michael Rynoski; born January 8, 1955) is a Canadian musician, singer and the lead singer of the rock band Loverboy. He is reported to have taught himself how to play guitar. He fronted other bands, including Moxy, before helping form Loverboy. Reno also sang for the Canadian band Hammersmith in 1976. Life and career While still in school in the early 1970s, Reno joined a cover band called Morning Glory, in which he played the drums and eventually found his way to the cover band Synergy. Later, Reno moved on to a band called Spunk with guitarist Jack Stoltz. Jonathan Leonard Friga (born February 26, 1950), known professionally as Jonathan Cain, is an American musician and songwriter best known as the keyboardist for Journey. He has also worked with the Babys and Bad English. Cain was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Journey in 2017.
