Lover of Sin is an American black metal/deathrock band, containing members from Christian Death ( Maitri/Valor), Diet of Worms (band) member Juan "Punchy" Gonzalez, Tony Norman (live) from Monstrosity and Morbid Angel, Howard Davis (live) from Genitorturers, and guest vocals by Damond Jiniya of Savatage. The band released their self-titled debut in 2003, through Candlelight Records Candlelight Records is a British record label based in England and founded by former Extreme Noise Terror bassist Lee Barrett, though it has had a division in the United States since January 2001. Candlelight Records specialises in black metal .... It was often mistaken for a Christian Death album. Lover of Sin released a new record in June 2012 entitled ''Horny Beast.'' Savatage () was an American heavy metal band founded by brothers Jon and Criss Oliva in 1979 in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Damond Jiniya is an American vocalist, lyricist and author. He was born December 16, 1974, in Palm Springs, California. His most notable work was fronting the prog metal band Savatage. Damond also achieved international notoriety with his electro-metal band Diet of Worms.. He recorded with Lover of Sin (Christian Death). Damond has performed at festivals such as Wacken Open Air (DE), Graspop (BE), "Gods of Metal (IT) and the Dracfest UK. The Genitorturers are an American industrial metal band with influences extending into the 1990s hardcore punk and electronic music. They proclaim themselves to be "The World's Sexiest Rock Band". History Originating in Orlando, Florida, the band was founded by lead singer Jennifer "Gen" Zimmerman while attending Rollins college. Originally called The Festering Genitorturers, the band consisted of Marisa (vocals), Yvonne (guitar), Gen (bass), Larry (guitar) and Mike (drums). Monstrosity is an American death metal band which originated in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, during the Florida death metal scene of the early 1990s. History Vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher and drummer Lee Harrison and bass player Mark Van Erp were the founders of Monstrosity. Harrison had just left the band Malevolent Creation and George Fisher gave up a band in his hometown of Maryland and came to Florida in 1990. Jon Rubin who had played guitar in Malevolent Creation also joined to form Monstrosity. Mark Van Erp played bass in the band Cynic and he left Cynic to join Monstrosity. Christian Death
Christian Death is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles County, California, in 1979 by Rozz Williams. With major line-up changes over the years, Christian Death has retained "a relentlessly confrontational stand against organized religion and conventional morality". Williams was eventually joined by guitarist Rikk Agnew of the band Adolescents, James McGearty on bass guitar and George Belanger on drums.
