Gradski stadion ( bg, Градски стадион, ) is a football stadium in Lovech, Bulgaria. It is currently used for football matches. The stadium has more than 8100 seats. On July 12, 2010, the venue received a 3-star rating by UEFA and currently meets the UEFA guidelines to host Champions League and Europa League matches. The record attendance of the stadium was achieved at the game between Levski Sofia and Litex Lovech in 1997, Bulgarian cup match, Litex win 2-0 - 12,500 spectators. UEFA Stadium Categories
UEFA stadium categories are categories for football stadiums laid out in UEFA's Stadium Infrastructure Regulations. Using these regulations, stadiums are rated as category one, two, three, or four (renamed from elite) in ascending ranking order. These categories replaced the previous method of ranking stadiums on one to five star scale in 2006. A stadium must be rated as category four in order to host games in the playoffs of the qualifying stage for the UEFA Champions League, or any game in the main competition. Category four is also required to host any game in the main competition of the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa Conference League, UEFA Nations League or the UEFA European Championship final tournament. Litex ( bg, Литекс) is a Bulgarian professional association football club based in Lovech, which currently competes in the Second League. The club was founded in 1921 as Hisarya Sports Club. The club's home ground is the Gradski Stadion, which has a capacity of 8,100 seats, electric floodlights and permission to stage European matches. As one of the successful Bulgarian clubs outside the capital Sofia, Litex have won the domestic championship four times and the Bulgarian Cup on four occasions.
