Love Will Find A Way (Yes Song)
"Love Will Find a Way" is a song by the progressive rock band Yes, from their 1987 album '' Big Generator''. It was released as the first single from that album, reaching number 30 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart in late 1987. It also topped the U.S. Mainstream Rock chart, holding onto the number one spot for three weeks. History Yes guitarist and singer Trevor Rabin originally wrote the song for singer Stevie Nicks to perform; however, Yes drummer Alan White encouraged Rabin to let Yes record the song instead. "Love Will Find a Way" was the fifth of six Yes singles to crack the U.S. Top 40; it has been featured on several of Yes' later compilations, including the box sets ''Yesyears'' and '' In a Word: Yes (1969–)''. Yes are an English progressive rock band formed in London in 1968 by lead singer and frontman Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Peter Banks, keyboardist Tony Kaye and drummer Bill Bruford. The band has undergone numerous line-up changes throughout their history, during which 19 musicians have been full-time members. ''90124'' is a compilation album by South African musician Trevor Rabin, released in 2003 on Voiceprint Records. It contains previously unreleased demos and songs that he wrote as a solo artist, some of which were recorded by Yes (band), Yes when he joined the band in 1983. The album's title and artwork is a direct reference to ''90125'' (1983), the first Yes album to feature Rabin that was produced mainly from his demos included on ''90124''. "Walls (Yes song), Walls" features Supertramp singer Roger Hodgson on vocals, recorded when he was invited to sing with Yes, though Jon Anderson's return ended this idea. Nonetheless, Rabin and Hodgson became close friends and Rabin played guitar, keyboards and backing vocals on Hodgson's song "The More I Look", featured on ''Open the Door (Roger Hodgson album), Open the Door''. "Shoot High Aim Low" is a song by Yes. It appears on the band's 1987 album, '' Big Generator''. The song reached position #11 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in the 1980s. It appeared on every show on the Big Generator tour, but nowhere else to date. Meaning The song, according to Jon Anderson's announcements on many shows of the tour, is about war; specifically, a future in which mankind will live beyond war. In most of these announcements, Anderson explains that the "Bluefields" mentioned in the first line are in Nicaragua. At the time the album was being worked on, a legal battle between the U.S. and Nicaragua had occurred over U.S. aid to anti-government guerrillas. Kim Bullard is an American keyboardist, songwriter, record producer, and film composer. He has been making music since the 1970s and has performed extensively as a keyboard player with musical acts such as Elton John and Crosby, Stills, & Nash. As a recording studio session player he has played piano, keyboards, and synthesizer with recording artists Yes, Santana, Kenny Loggins, Heart, Belinda Carlisle, The Doobie Brothers, Tori Amos, Kelly Clarkson, and Carrie Underwood among numerous others. Christopher Russell Edward Squire (4March 1948 – 27June 2015) was an English musician, singer and songwriter best known as the bassist and backing vocalist of the progressive rock band Yes (band), Yes.
