''Love Songs'' is a compilation album by American singer and recording artist Michael Jackson. It was released on January 15, 2002, by Motown Records as a part of Motown's ''Love Songs'' line. The album contains 14 love songs and ballads Michael Jackson recorded, either by himself or with The Jackson 5, during his Motown tenure. Some of these were solo hits by Michael, such as "Got to Be There", and Jackson 5 hits, such as "Who's Lovin' You". It also includes an unreleased version of The Jackson 5 hit, " I'll Be There", and the rare original mix of Michael's "Call on Me". Elliot Willensky
Elliot A. Willensky (August 6, 1943 – March 29, 2010) was an American composer, lyricist and music producer. He wrote Michael Jackson's first solo hit "Got to Be There" and the Jermaine Jackson/Whitney Houston duet "If You Say My Eyes Are Beautiful." Willensky composed the music for the 1999 off-Broadway musical ''Abby's Song'' and served as the music coordinator for the Tony Orlando and Dawn variety show on CBS. Biography He was born in Bayonne, New Jersey on August 6, 1943, to Raymond Willensky and Gertrude Berlin. He attended Bayonne High School and graduated from Boston University with a degree in biology. He undertook post-graduate studies at Boston University and the University of Massachusetts Amherst and worked as a research scientist of the National Institutes of Health. "One Day in Your Life" is a song recorded by Michael Jackson for his 1975 album, ''Forever, Michael''. Music written by Sam Brown III and Lyrics by Renée Armand, it was later released on March 25, 1981 as a single from the compilation album ''One Day in Your Life'' due to the commercial interest that generated from the sales of Jackson's hit 1979 album ''Off the Wall'', despite the fact that Jackson had released that album on Epic Records instead of Motown. Fonce Mizell
The Mizell Brothers were an American record producing team in the 1970s, consisting of Larry Mizell (born February 17, 1944) and Alphonso "Fonce" Mizell (January 15, 1943 – July 5, 2011). They worked together on a string of jazz or R&B albums. History Larry earned a degree in engineering and Fonce Mizell earned a degree in music from Howard University. While there they formed and performed in a jazz vocal quartet, the Vanlords. In the early 1970s, Larry and Fonce Mizell moved to California to start their own company, Sky High Productions. They went on to produce albums for Blue Note Records that set the tone for jazz fusion and the era. It is the Jackson 5's sixth album overall, and was released on September 29, 1971. The Corporation was a group of songwriters and record producers assembled in 1969 by Motown label head Berry Gordy to create hit records for the label's new act, The Jackson 5. Edward Holland Jr. (born October 30, 1939) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Holland was born in Detroit, Michigan, United States. Although he was an early Motown artist who recorded minor hit singles such as "Jamie", he started working behind the scenes due to stage fright. He was a member of Holland–Dozier–Holland, the songwriting and production team responsible for much of the Motown Sound and hit records by Martha and the Vandellas, The Supremes, The Four Tops, and The Isley Brothers, among others.
