''Love Madness'' is a 1920 American silent crime film directed by Joseph Henabery and starring Louise Glaum, Matt Moore, and Noah Beery Noah Nicholas Beery (January 17, 1882 – April 1, 1946) was an American actor who appeared in films from 1913 until his death in 1946. Plot As described in a film magazine review, Mary Norwood's husband, a weakling, is framed by a gang of crooks and sent to prison to die for a murder he has not committed. His wife, believing implicitly in his innocence, assumes the role of a confidence woman, gets in with the gang, learns the truth by playing one gang member against the other for her affections. Joseph Henabery
Joseph Henabery (January 15, 1888 – February 18, 1976) of Omaha, Nebraska, was a film actor, screenplay writer, and director in the United States. He is best known for his portrayal of Abraham Lincoln in D.W. Griffith's controversial 1915 silent historical epic ''The Birth of a Nation''. Early years Henabery was born in Omaha and raised in Los Angeles. He began acting as an amateur in California. Before he worked in films, Henabery worked for the San Pedro, Los Angeles, Salt Lake Railroad. When he was 25 years old, he became an extra for Universal Pictures. Career Henabery's acting career began in ''The Joke on Yellentown'' (1914). From 1914 to 1917 he appeared in seventeen films, including his portrayal of Lincoln in ''The Birth of a Nation''. Henabery also worked as a second-unit director on Griffith's ''Intolerance'' (1916), and supervised the filming of at least one extended sequence that appeared in the film. Jack Nelson (actor)
Jack Nelson (October 15, 1882 – November 10, 1948) was an American actor and film director of the silent era. He appeared in more than 80 films between 1910 and 1935. He also directed 58 films between 1920 and 1935. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee and died in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. Biography Upon arriving in North Bay, Nelson took over management of the Capital Theatre, one of two movie theatres in North Bay at the time. Years later after World War Two broke out, Nelson played an important role in the nine national Victory Loan Drives (1941–1945). Acting as chairman of public relations, Nelson served on the Nipissing District National War Finance Committee. His duties included organizing parades, corresponding with the local North Bay Daily Nugget Newspaper, and hosting occasional free movie admission nights for residents who purchased bonds. Arthur Millett
Arthur Millett (April 21, 1874 in Pittsfield, Maine – February 24, 1952 in Los Angeles, California), born Arthur Nelson Millett, was an early American motion picture actor whose career was at its height in the silent film era. Biography Born in 1874, Millett was signed on to appear in his first film relatively late in life at age 40 in 1914, but immediately work began to pick up. His first film ''The Lost Treasure'' was released in 1914. In 1915, he starred in films such as '' Coals of Fire'' and '' The Law of the Wilds'', working with prolific actors such as Harry von Meter and Vivian Rich. Millett starred in a total of 116 film in his career. With the advent of sound films, however, his career declined significantly. In the majority of the roles in his 60 or so films after 1927, Millett was uncredited. Millett was married to actress Neva Gerber. He retired from film in 1940 and died in 1952.
