"Love Like Blood" is a song by English rock band Killing Joke. It was released in January 1985 as the second single from their fifth studio album, '' Night Time'' (1985). Produced by Chris Kimsey, the song is characterised as gothic rock and new wave. It was a top 10 hit in the Netherlands, Belgium and New Zealand and peaked at number 16 in the United Kingdom. "Love Like Blood" was originally released by E.G. Records in January 1985 as a 12" in the UK, and a 12" maxi single in Germany. The 7" single on E.G. was released in the UK, the Netherlands and Germany. Polydor also released a 12" single in the Netherlands and a 12" maxi single in France. "Love Like Blood" remains very fondly remembered in the Netherlands, as it has appeared on the country's annual Top 2000 songs of all time countdown every year since 2011. Killing Joke are an English rock music, rock band from Notting Hill, London, England, formed in 1979 by Jaz Coleman (vocals, keyboards), Paul Ferguson (drums), Geordie Walker (guitar) and Youth (musician), Youth (bass). Dead by April is a Swedish metalcore band from Gothenburg, formed in February 2007 by Pontus Hjelm and Jimmie Strimell. Love Like Blood was a German gothic rock band. The band's name comes from the song of the same name by English post-punk band Killing Joke. Biography Its nucleus consists of the Eysel brothers Yorck (vocals, lyrics) and Gunnar ( bass). The band was active from 1989 to 2001 and is now on (indefinite) hiatus. Its early sound reminisces the style of Fields of the Nephilim. They made their breakthrough with the 1992 album ''An Irony of Fate'', which marked the debut of English guitarist Mark Wheeler. This album showcased a transition to a more hard rock-influenced style. In the mid-1990s, Love Like Blood turned to gothic metal with the album ''Exposure''. Butterfly Recordings is the name used by three record labels. 1970s "Butterfly Records", a disco record label created in 1977 by A.J. The ''Top 2000'' is an annual Dutch marathon radio programme that plays the 2,000 songs voted most popular of all time. The show runs 24 hours a day, starting Christmas and ending on New Year's Eve.
