Love Lasts Forever (All Saints Song)
"Love Lasts Forever" is a song by English girl group All Saints from their fifth studio album, '' Testament'' (2018). Written by group member Shaznay Lewis and producer K-Gee, it premiered as the album's lead single on BBC Radio 2's ''The Chris Evans Breakfast Show'' on 31 May 2018. Writing and inspiration Shaznay Lewis wrote "Love Lasts Forever" with producer K-Gee more than a year prior to its release. It was inspired by Lewis' son who was about to leave high school, and reflected on the pressure from society to grow and achieve. She wanted to reassure him that "the family will be here and the love will still be here whenever you need to come back and be protected from all of that." Melanie Blatt listened to the track for four hours on repeat after Lewis sent it to her, and recalls it being the first from '' Testament'' that she instantly liked and thought "we're fine, this is good, this album is going to be amazing." All Saints (group)
All Saints are an English girl group formed in London in 1993. They were founded as All Saints 1.9.7.5 by music manager Ron Tom, who later also founded Sugababes, with members Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis, and Simone Rainford. The group struggled to find commercial success upon being signed to ZTT Records and were dropped by the label shortly after Rainford left the group. In 1996, the group were joined by Canadian-born sisters Nicole Appleton, Nicole and Natalie Appleton and signed to London Records under their shortened name. Part of the 1990s wave of British girl groups, their debut album, ''All Saints (All Saints album), All Saints'' (1997), peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and went on to become the UK's List of best-selling girl groups#United Kingdom 2, third-best-selling girl group album of all time. Popjustice £20 Music Prize
The Popjustice £20 Music Prize, also known as the Popjustice Twenty Quid Prize, is an annual prize awarded by music website Popjustice to recognise the best British pop single of the previous year. The prize was conceived by Popjustice founder Peter Robinson in 2003 as a reaction to what he perceived as the pompous and elitist nature of the existing Mercury Prize, which recognises the best album of the previous year, and in particular its exclusion of pop music acts in favour of those from more esoteric genres. The shortlist for the Popjustice prize is announced in September of each year and the winner named the following month, to coincide with the presentation of the Mercury Prize. Popjustice gives a token prize of £20 to the winner of its award, in contrast to the £20,000 given to the winner of the Mercury Prize. Adele Emily Sandé, ( ; born 10 March 1987), known professionally as Emeli Sandé, is a Scottish singer and songwriter.
