"Love Is the Healer" is a song recorded by American singer Donna Summer in 1999 for her album '' Live & More Encore'', the track being one of two new studio recordings included on the live album. The song was written by Summer herself and producer Nathan DiGesare and co-produced by remix team Thunderpuss (Barry Harris and Chris Cox). Following the success of " I Will Go with You (Con te partirò)", it became Summer's second single in 1999 to top the US Club Play chart at number one. The song also peaked #9 in Spain singles charts and #14 in Spain Radio chart. Despite this, it was to be Summer's second and final single release on Epic Records. Donna Summer
LaDonna Adrian Gaines (December 31, 1948May 17, 2012), known professionally as Donna Summer, was an American singer and songwriter. She gained prominence during the disco era of the 1970s and became known as the " Queen of Disco", while her music gained a global following. Influenced by the counterculture of the 1960s, Summer became the lead singer of a psychedelic rock band named Crow and moved to New York City. In 1968, she joined a German adaptation of the musical ''Hair'' in Munich, where she spent several years living, acting, and singing. There, she met music producers Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, and they went on to record influential disco hits together such as " Love to Love You Baby" and "I Feel Love", marking Summer's breakthrough into international music markets. Christopher Niles Cox (born July 15) is an American dance music record producer, remixer, and DJ who has worked on over 600 records throughout his career. His album ''12 Inches of Cox'' was released in 2002. Career As one-half of the production team Thunderpuss and as a solo artist, Cox has earned a total of 52 ''Billboard'' dance chart number one records. Barry Harris is a Canadian record producer, DJ, remixer, singer and songwriter. He created the synthpop act Kon Kan in early 1988 which had worldwide success with "I Beg Your Pardon". The song, initially issued on the now defunct Toronto-based indie label Revolving Records, was quickly discovered and signed by Atlantic Records' A&R rep, Marc Nathan.
