''Love in the Time of E-Mail'' is the second studio album by the American power pop band Antarctigo Vespucci. It was released on October 26, 2018, through Polyvinyl Record Co. and Quote Unquote Records in North America, and through Big Scary Monsters Recording Company in Europe. Background Being previously un-signed to any label, Polyvinyl Records announced they had signed Antarctigo Vespucci in August 2018. At that time, the label also announced the band's (then unnamed) ''Live! In the Time of E-Mail'' tour with the band Katie Ellen. Chris Farren and Jeff Rosenstock recorded the album in a small bedroom in Rosenstock's New York apartment. Like most Antarctigo Vespucci albums, the majority of the tracks began as demos by Farren. Antarctigo Vespucci is an American indie rock band, formed in 2014. The band is composed of punk musicians Chris Farren and Jeff Rosenstock. The band explains their name as a joke: " Amerigo Vespucci is the guy who discovered America so it stands to reason that Antarctigo Vespucci would be the guy who discovered Antarctica." In an interview with Uproxx, the band explained that their creative process when making a new Antarctigo Vespucci album typically begins with demos from Farren. According to the duo, Rosenstock will pick out the demos that stick out to him the most, then the two will collaborate on the finished product. Founded by editor Sean Adams, the site features reviews, news, interviews, and discussion forums. Quote Unquote Records is a donation-based online independent record label, founded and run by Bomb the Music Industry! and The Arrogant Sons of Bitches frontman Jeff Rosenstock. The label is an example of Rosenstock's DIY ideals. Many of the label's artists have personal connections, and all of the music released by the label is available as a free download from its website, along with an array of lyrics and photos. In fact, the label does not sell any material of any kind, and the website's headline bills the label as "The First Ever Donation Based Record Label". Rosenstock explains the modest success of Quote Unquote Records by stating, "The donations that come in are not huge, but since we don’t spend that much money they pile up." Katie Ellen are an American punk band based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They were formed in 2015 by Anika Pyle and Dan Frelly after the dissolution of their previous band Chumped. They have released a 7" single, an EP and an album, ''Cowgirl Blues'' in 2017, all on Lauren Records. History After Chumped parted ways at the end of 2015, Anika Pyle and Dan Frelly formed the initial two-piece incarnation of Katie Ellen. Pyle named the band after the broadcasting name of her great grandmother - a journalist and radio host on KTLN in Colorado who was sued by her station after continuing to use the name in other aspects of her career.
