''Love Has to Be Learned'' (German: ''Liebe will gelernt sein'') is a 1963 West German comedy film directed by Kurt Hoffmann and starring Martin Held, Barbara Rütting and Götz George. It was adapted by Erich Kästner from his own play.Bock & Bergfelder p.352 It was shot at the Spandau Studios in Berlin and on location around Munich in Bavaria. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Hans Jürgen Kiebach and Ernst Schomer. Kurt Hoffmann
Kurt Hoffmann (12 November 1910 – 25 June 2001) was a German film director, the son of Carl Hoffmann. He directed 48 films between 1938 and 1971. He ran a production company Independent Film along with Heinz Angermeyer. His 1958 film ''Wir Wunderkinder'' was entered into the 1st Moscow International Film Festival and his 1960 film '' The Haunted Castle'' was entered into the 2nd Moscow International Film Festival where it won the Silver Prize. Blandine Ebinger (born Blandine Loeser) (4 November 1899, in Berlin – 25 December 1993, in Berlin) was a German actress and ''chansonniere''. Career Ebinger became acquainted with Friedrich Hollaender in 1919, and with him she became heavily invested as a performer, writer, and composer in the Berlin cabaret scene in the 1920s, beginning in the cabaret and the Café des Westens. Ralf Wolter (26 November 1926 – 14 October 2022) was a German stage and screen actor. Wolter appeared in nearly 220 films and television series in his over 60 years as a character actor.
