Love Glove
"Love Glove" is a single by the British pop group Visage, released on Polydor Records in August 1984. It was the first single to be released from Visage's third album, ''Beat Boy'', and peaked at #54 on the UK Singles Chart. Music video Two music videos for "Love Glove" exist. One version is the clip shot in Egypt by Jean-Claude Luyat, as a part of a full-length video incorporating songs from ''The Anvil'' and ''Beat Boy''. It features Egyptian pyramids and Steve Strange riding a camel across the desert as well as singing on a yacht. This version was later included on the '' Visage'' video album in 1986. Another version was shot by Nick Morris in London's Docklands in August 1984. In this version, Steve Strange appears in his ''Beat Boy'' album cover make up. Visage (band)
Visage were a British synthpop band, formed in London in 1978. The band became closely linked to the burgeoning New Romantic fashion movement of the early 1980s, and are best known for their hit " Fade to Grey" which was released in late 1980. In the UK, the band achieved two Top 20 albums ('' Visage'' and '' The Anvil'') and five Top 30 singles before the commercial failure of their third album (''Beat Boy'') led to their break-up in 1985. The band has seen various line-up changes over the years, all fronted by vocalist Steve Strange, who resurrected the band name in the 2000s. In 2013, the most recent line-up of the band released ''Hearts and Knives'', the first new Visage album in 29 years. The band's fifth and final album, ''Demons to Diamonds'', was released in 2015, nine months after Strange had died following a heart attack. Nick Morris is a British film maker better known for directing music videos in the 1980's. Career Nick Morris began writing and making amateur films at school, one of which was shown at the NFT. His professional career began in the 1980s with music videos for " The Final Countdown" by Europe, "Kyrie" by Mr. Mister and "Everytime You Go Away" by Paul Young. Gary Barnacle
Gary Barnacle (born 1959 in Dover, England) is an English saxophonist, flautist, brass instrument arranger, composer, and producer. Barnacle is primarily noted for his session work and live work, including various Prince's Trust concerts at Wembley Arena, the Royal Albert Hall and the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. He performed at the Nelson Mandela 70th Birthday Tribute at Wembley Stadium in 1988, and appeared on television and in music videos during the 1980s and 1990s with many popular music acts. Yasmin Le Bon (née Parvaneh; born 29 October 1964) is an English model. She was one of the highest-earning models during the 1980s and is also known for being the wife of pop star Simon Le Bon. ''Visage'' is a compilation video by the British band Visage, released in August 1985. Background The compilation collects most of the music videos from the band's career between 1980–84, including songs from their first three studio albums. The first part of the video consists of music clips directed by Godley & Creme, Midge Ure, Tim Pope and Jean-Claude Luyat interspersed with interludes filmed by Luyat. The footage from "Can You Hear Me" onwards is film material shot by Luyat in Egypt, which includes tracks from '' The Anvil'' and ''Beat Boy''.
