Louis Sarecky
Louis Sarecky (January 26, 1886 – March 4, 1946) was an American film producer and screenwriter at the very beginning of the sound era of motion pictures. Born in 1886 in Odessa in what was then the Russian Empire (today now part of Ukraine), he began his career in the last year of silent film, 1928, working on five films that year, four as screenwriter and one as producer. While he is only credited with working on 26 films, some of those were among the most popular films at that time: ''The Vagabond Lover'' (1929), Rudy Vallée's screen debut; '' The Cuckoos'', starring the comedy team of Wheeler & Woolsey; and '' Friends and Lovers'' in 1931, starring Adolphe Menjou and Laurence Olivier. His crowning achievement would be the Academy Award-winning 1931 film '' Cimarron''. Barney Sarecky
Barney Sarecky (May 7, 1895 – August 10, 1968) was an American film producer and screenwriter, from the late 1930s into the 1950s. The younger brother of producer/screenwriter Louis Sarecky, he had a much more prolific career, writing or producing almost 75 films. Beginning as an associate producer, he would continue in that role until late in his career, when he would move up into the producer role, beginning with 1947's ''Trailing Danger''. In the early 1950s he would move from the big screen to the smaller screen, working as the associate producer on the highly successful television series, '' Adventures of Superman''. He worked on two small television movies in the mid-1960s, and he was an associate producer on the short-lived television series, ''The American West'', in 1968, shortly before his death on August 10. Everything's Rosie
''Everything's Rosie'' is a 1931 American Pre-Code slapstick comedy film directed by Clyde Bruckman, from a screenplay by Ralph Spence, Tim Whelan, and Al Boasberg, based on a story by Boasberg. Although the screenplay was credited as original, it bore a striking resemblance to a 1923 play, ''Poppy'', which had starred W.C. Fields. The film starred Robert Woolsey, one-half of the comedy team of Wheeler & Woolsey, and was an attempt by RKO Radio Pictures to capitalize on the popularity of the comedy duo, having each of the team star in their own solo films. The film also starred Anita Louise and John Darrow, but was a critical failure, although it did manage not to lose money in a year when most RKO films did exactly that.
