Louis Mann
Louis Mann (20 April 1865 – 15 February 1931) was an American theatre actor and sometime director, who in his later life made a few appearances in motion pictures. He was married to actress and playwright Clara Lipman. History Mann was born in New York City in 1865 to Daniel and Caroline Mann, and made his first theatrical appearances as a child actor, mainly in German-language theatricals. In 1896 he appeared in the Herald Square Theatre on Broadway, in the George Dance and Ivan Caryll production '' The Girl from Paris''. He played Hans Nix to Clara Lipman's Estelle Cookoo in the 1897 Morton-Kerker musical comedy '' The Telephone Girl'', and in 1899, the two appeared in the original run of the farce ''The Girl in the Barracks''. Mann and Lipman took the leads, and were well received. Clara Lipman
Clara Lipman (December 6, 1864 – June 22, 1952) was an American musical comedy actress and playwright whose career began in 1885 and continued on until her retirement in 1927. She was the wife of comedian Louis Mann and the sister of popular Lied, Lieder singer Mattie Lipman Marum. Biography Clara Lipman was born in Chicago on December 6, 1864, the second of five children raised by Abram and Josephine (née Brumer) Lipman. Her father‘s income as a loan broker was such that she was able to attend college and receive private tutoring in the classics, music and languages. Lipman started in amateur theatre productions in Chicago before making her professional stage début at Niblo's Garden in New York City on November 30, 1885, as Nettie in the Kiralfy Brothers spectacular, ''The Rat Catcher'' (an adaptation of ''The Pied Piper of Hamelin''). Leila Hyams
Leila Hyams (May 1, 1905 – December 4, 1977) was an American film and stage actress, model, and vaudevillian, who came from a show business family. Her relatively short film career began in 1924 during the era of silent films and ended in 1936 (excepting a 1946 short film appearance). She started out her career as a vaudevillian, stage performer and model, before embarking on a career in film, and although her career in this genre only lasted around twelve years, the blonde blue-eyed ingenue and leading lady appeared in more than 50 film roles and remained a press favourite, with numerous magazine covers. Robert Montgomery (; born Henry Montgomery Jr.; May 21, 1904 – September 27, 1981) was an American actor, director, and producer. He began his acting career on the stage, but was soon hired by MGM. Initially assigned roles in comedies, he soon proved he was able to handle dramatic ones as well. He appeared in a wide variety of roles, such as the weak-willed prisoner Kent in '' The Big House'' (1930), the psychotic Danny in ''Night Must Fall'' (1937), and Joe, the boxer mistakenly sent to Heaven in '' Here Comes Mr. Jordan'' (1941). The last two earned him nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actor. During World War II, he drove ambulances in France until the Dunkirk evacuation.
