Louis-Philippe McGraw
Louis-Philippe McGraw (born October 26, 1971 in Sainte-Rose, New Brunswick) is a lawyer in the province of New Brunswick, Canada. He is a former member of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, having served from 1999 to 2003. In 2008 he was appointed Commissioner and Vice-President of the National Parole Board. McGraw studied at the University of Moncton, graduating with Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Laws, and Master of Business Administration degrees. He was admitted to the Bar of New Brunswick in 1997 and set up a law practice in Saint-Isidore. Louis-Philippe McGraw began his involvement in politics as a Liberal and was youth chair of Bernard Richard's unsuccessful bid for the Liberal leadership in 1998. He joined the Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick and was elected to the 54th New Brunswick Legislative Assembly in 1999 to represent the electoral district of Centre-Péninsule. Bernard Richard
Bernard Richard (born April 11, 1951) is a Canadian social worker, lawyer, and politician in the Province of New Brunswick. Early life and education Raised and educated in Cap-Pelé, New Brunswick, Richard earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Moncton and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of New Brunswick. Political career He first entered politics as a young man, running unsuccessfully in Shediac for the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick as a Parti Acadien candidate in the 1974 election. He became involved in municipal politics in the village of Cap-Pélé. His second entry into provincial politics was in the 1991 election, this time as a Liberal. He won. Greg Thompson
Gregory Francis Thompson, (March 28, 1947 – September 10, 2019) was a Canadian politician who served six terms as a Member of Parliament (MP), and for one term he represented the district of Saint Croix in the New Brunswick Legislative Assembly, from 2018 until 2019. Political career Thompson was formerly a high school history teacher at Fundy High School from 1975–1980. Thompson, a high school teacher, a businessman and financial planner was first elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the 1988 Canadian federal election as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada. He was elected in the riding of Carleton—Charlotte. The 2006 New Brunswick general election was held on September 18, 2006, to elect 55 members to the 56th New Brunswick Legislative Assembly, the governing house of the province of New Brunswick, Canada. The campaign came earlier than expected: the incumbent Premier of New Brunswick, Bernard Lord, had pledged a vote would be held on October 15, 2007 but when the ruling Progressive Conservatives faced a loss of its majority in the legislature, Lord said he did not want to face a minority government and, moreover, feared that a by-election could tip the balance of power to the opposition Liberals.
