Louie Pessolano
Louis Carl Pessolano (February 23, 1907 – February 1983) was a professional football player and actor who played in three games with the Staten Island Stapletons of the National Football League in 1929. Prior to playing professionally, Pessolano played high school football in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, where he was a team captain. After graduation, Pessolano played college football at Villanova, where he was the team captain along with being the heaviest player on the team, weighing a reported 235 pounds. After retiring from football, Pessolano turned to acting, where he appeared in various theater productions and the syndicated TV show Miami Undercover. Pessolano also attended the Temple University School of Medicine and became a physician in Miami Springs. New Kensington
New Kensington, known locally as New Ken, is a city in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. It is situated along the Allegheny River, northeast of Pittsburgh. The population was 12,170 at the 2010 census. History Like much of Westmoreland County and surrounding areas, the region was a hunting ground for Native Americans of the Six Nations. Miami Springs is a city located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The city was founded by Glenn Hammond Curtiss, "The Father of Naval Aviation", and James Bright, during the famous "land boom" of the 1920s and was originally named Country Club Estates. It, along with other cities in Miami-Dade County such as Coral Gables, Florida, and Opa-locka, Florida, formed some of the first planned communities in the state. Like its counterparts, the city had an intended theme which in its case, was to reflect a particular architecture and ambiance. In this case it was a regional style of architecture called Pueblo Revival developed in the southwest, primarily New Mexico, and incorporating design elements of Pueblo architecture.
