Louis Marino Palatella (born July 28, 1933) is a former American football player who played for San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). Early life Palatella played football for Vandegrift High School. College career Palatella played college football at the University of Pittsburgh. Professional career San Francisco 49ers Palatella played as a guard and a linebacker with the San Francisco 49ers for four seasons. Later career After retiring from football, Palatella became a liquor distributor in Southern California. He owns a tequila company and a bourbon distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, which his wife Marci and he opened in 2018. Guard (American Football)
In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center and the tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for blocking. Bardstown is a home rule-class city in Nelson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 11,700 in the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Nelson County. 2019 College Admissions Bribery Scandal
In 2019, a scandal arose over a criminal conspiracy to influence undergraduate admissions decisions at several top American universities. The investigation into the conspiracy was code named Operation Varsity Blues. The investigation and related charges were made public on March 12, 2019, by United States federal prosecutors. At least 53 people have been charged as part of the conspiracy, a number of whom pleaded guilty or agreed to plead guilty. Thirty-three parents of college applicants were accused of paying more than $25million between 2011 and 2018 to William Rick Singer, organizer of the scheme, who used part of the money to fraudulently inflate entrance exam test scores and bribe college officials. Tequila (; ) is a liquor, distilled beverage made from the Agave tequilana, blue agave plant, primarily in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, Jalisco, Tequila northwest of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Guadalajara, and in the Jaliscan Highlands (''Los Altos (Jalisco), Los Altos de Jalisco'') of the central western Mexican state of Jalisco. Vandergrift, Pennsylvania
Vandergrift is a borough in Westmoreland County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, approximately northeast of Pittsburgh. Early in the 20th century, it had the largest sheet steel mill in the world. On June 28, 1915, the Borough of Vandergrift Heights was consolidated with Vandergrift. In 1900, 2,076 people lived here; in 1910, 3,876. The 1915 consolidation almost doubled Vandergrift's population when Vandergrift Heights added approximately 3,438 new residents (1910 population). By 1940, 10,725 people lived in Vandergrift. Vandegrift High School is a public high school in Travis County, Texas. It educates students in grades 9-12 for the Leander Independent School District. History The school is named for United States Marine Corps First Lieutenant Matthew Ryan Vandegrift, who was killed in action.
