Lou Amundson
Louis Gabriel Amundson ( born December 7, 1982) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for UNLV and 12 years professionally, including 10 seasons in the NBA. Early life and college Amundson was born in Ventura, California, and grew up in Boulder, Colorado. He played college basketball at UNLV from 2001 to 2002 and then from 2003 to 2006, missing the 2002–03 season as a medical redshirt due to a thumb infection. Professional career Colorado 14ers (2006–2007) Amundson played in the NBA D-League for the Colorado 14ers and was named the NBA D-League Rookie of the Year in 2007. The power forward (PF), also known as the four or strong forward, is a position in basketball. Power forwards play a role similar to centers. When on offense, they typically play with their backs towards the basket. When on defense, they typically position themselves under the basket in a zone defense or against the opposing power forward in man-to-man defense. The power forward position entails a variety of responsibilities, one of which is rebounding. Many power forwards are noted for their mid-range jump-shot, and several players have become very accurate from . Earlier, these skills were more typically exhibited in the European style of play. The TNT (cellular service), TNT Tropang Giga is a professional basketball team currently owned by Smart Communications, a subsidiary of the PLDT, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), playing in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) since 1990. The franchise began in 1990 when Pepsi Philippines, Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI) acquired a PBA franchise. Under PCPPI, the franchise played under the names Pepsi and 7 Up. In 1996, the franchise came under the control of PLDT Communication and Energy Ventures, Pilipino Telephone Corporation (Piltel) and played under the name Mobiline. In 2001, the franchise was renamed TNT (cellular service), Talk 'N Text after the operations of Piltel was absorbed by Smart Communications.
