Lost Map Records
Lost Map is a British independent record label set up in 2013 by Johnny Lynch. The label was established following the dissolution of Fence Records Limited in August 2013. History After 10 years of working for and subsequently managing Fence Records, Lynch took the decision to leave the label in August 2013, following his business partner Kenny Anderson's decision to quit the label in April 2013. With Lynch's departure from Fence, the entire active label roster followed him to his new venture, Lost Map Records, with Rozi Plain, Monoganon, Kid Canaveral, Randolph's Leap, eagleowl, Seamus Fogarty, and The Pictish Trail making up the initial roster of the new imprint. Alternative Rock
Alternative rock, or alt-rock, is a category of rock music that emerged from the independent music underground of the 1970s and became widely popular in the 1990s. Green Man Festival
The Green Man Festival is an independent music, science and arts festival held annually in mid-August in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. Green Man has evolved into a 25,000 capacity week long event, showcasing predominantly live music (in particular alternative, indie, rock, folk, dance and Americana). The festival site is divided into 10 areas, hosting literature, film, comedy, science, theatre, wellness and family acts. It is also possible to stay for a week at the festival site, known as the Settlement, and explore the surrounding area. The festival has expanded into other ventures, including setting up a charitable wing called the Green Man Trust and launching its own beer range called Green Man Growler. Seamus Fogarty
Seamus Fogarty is a London-based Irish singer-songwriter, originally from County Mayo. Career In 2012, Fogarty released his debut album, ''God Damn You Mountain'', on the Scottish indie label Fence Records. Parts of the album were written and recorded in a cottage in South County Kerry. In an interview with The Quietus, Fogarty claimed the title of the album was inspired by the loss of his favorite t-shirt on the summit of a mountain in the Iveragh Peninsula. In 2017, Fogarty released his second album, ''The Curious Hand'', on Domino Recording Company, Domino. Three years later, on 6 November 2020, his third studio album, ''A Bag Of Eyes,'' came out, recorded across London, Kent and East Sussex. The album features Fogarty’s partner Emma Smith, Meilyr Jones, long-time collaborators Leo Abrahams, Aram Zarikian and John Fogarty. Eagleowl
eagleowl are a Scottish lo-fi, indie folk band from Edinburgh, Scotland. History eagleowl are Bartholomew Owl (guitar, vocals, glockenspiel), Clarissa Cheong (double bass, vocals), Malcolm Benzie (violin, guitar, vocals), Rob St John (harmonium, organ, vocals), Owen Williams (drums) and Hannah Shepherd (cello). Randolph's Leap (band)
Randolph's Leap is an eight piece indie-pop band from Glasgow, Scotland, and signed to Lost Map Records as of 2014. Founded by frontman Adam Ross in 2006, members include Ross (guitar/vocals), Adam Florence (drums), Vicki Cole (bass), Andrew MacLellan (guitar), Heather Thikey (violin), Pete MacDonald (keyboards), Ali Hendry (trumpet) and Fraser Gibson (trombone). Kid Canaveral
Kid Canaveral was a Scottish alternative pop band that formed in St Andrews in Fife, Scotland, but are now based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Since 2007 the band have released a number of well received singles, an E.P. and an album on their own label, Straight to Video Records, and in 2011 they signed with Scottish independent label Fence Records. The band left Fence Records to join Johnny Lynch on his new label Lost Map Records in August 2013. Kenny Anderson (musician)
Kenny Anderson (born January 1967), known primarily by his stage name King Creosote, is an independent singer-songwriter from Fife, Scotland. To date, Anderson has released over forty albums, with his latest full length, '' Astronaut Meets Appleman'', released in 2016. Anderson is also a member of Scottish-Canadian band The Burns Unit. In 2011, Anderson's collaborative album with Jon Hopkins, ''Diamond Mine'', was nominated for the Mercury Prize and the Scottish Album of the Year Award.
