''Lost Lagoon'' is a 1958 American drama film directed by John Rawlins and written by Milton Subotsky, John Rawlins and Jeffrey Lynn. The film stars Jeffrey Lynn, Lelia Barry, Peter Donat, Don Gibson, Roger Clark and Jane Hartley. The film was released in February 1958 by United Artists. John Rawlins (director)
John Rawlins (June 9, 1902 – May 20, 1997) was an American film editor and director. He directed 44 films between 1932 and 1958. He was born in Long Beach, California and died in Arcadia, California. According to one obituary, he was "a prime exponent of that style, being a master of swift exposition and fast action. His no-nonsense approach also made him a fine serial director, and when given the chance of a top-budget adventure film he gave his studio one of its biggest hits in Arabian Nights." Milton Subotsky
Milton Subotsky (September 27, 1921 – June 27, 1991) was an American film and television writer and producer. In 1964, he founded Amicus Productions with Max Rosenberg, Max J. Rosenberg. Amicus means "friendship" in Latin. The partnership produced Low budget film, low-budget science fiction and horror films in the United Kingdom. Early life and career Subotsky was born in New York City, to a family of Jewish immigrants. During World War II, he served in the Signal Corps (United States Army), Signal Corps, in which he wrote and edited technical training films. Jeffrey Lynn
Jeffrey Lynn (born Ragnar Godfrey Lind; – November 24, 1995) was an American stage-screen actor and film producer who worked primarily through the Golden Age of Hollywood establishing himself as one of the premier talents of his time. Throughout his acting career, both on stage and in film, he was typecast as "the attractive, reliable love interest of the heroine," or "the tall, stalwart hero." Peter Donat (born Pierre Collingwood Donat; January 20, 1928 – September 10, 2018) was a Canadian-American actor. Early life Pierre Collingwood Donat was born in Kentville, Nova Scotia, Canada, the son of Marie (née Bardet) and Philip Ernst Donat, a landscape gardener. Richard Donat, who starred on the television show '' Haven'', is Peter's younger brother. His uncle was Oscar winning British actor Robert Donat. Peter Donat emigrated to the United States in 1950, studied drama at Yale University, and first came to attention as a stage actor in the lead of a production of ''Cyrano de Bergerac''.
