Lost (Carpark North Album)
''Lost'' is the first internationally released album by Danish electronic rock band Carpark North. In 2009 Carpark North was contacted by Swedish label "Mr. Radar" who wanted to sign the band through Sony Music worldwide. The band re-recorded songs from their three studio albums, '' Carpark North'' (2003), '' All Things to All People'' (2005) and '' Grateful'' (2008), which resulted in ''the'' ''creation of the super album "Lost"''. The album was released on 27 August 2010 in the United Kingdom and Germany, on 1 September 2010 in Europe, and on 14 September 2010 in North America. The song "Save Me from Myself" was covered by Brazilian Christian rock band Oficina G3 and Christian musician Michael W. Carpark North
Carpark North is a Danish electronic rock band. The band was formed in Aarhus, Denmark on 28 July 1999 by Lau Højen (vocal, guitar), Søren Balsner (bass, synthesisers) and Morten Thorhauge (drums). The name "Carpark North" was created from the electro and rock genres: "Carpark" stands for car parks, edges, roughness, metal – the rock part, and "North" stands for northern lights, stars ethereal electronics. History The foundation for Carpark North was laid at Mellerup Efterskole, where Søren Balsner and Lau Højen met and formed a band. This band played in the national championship in rock in 1997. Søren and Lau split up after Mellerup, and Lau started his education at high school – Aarhus Katedralskole. Here he joined a band – "Spacekraft" and met Morten Thorhauge a young drummer from Søften. ''Grateful'' is the third studio album by Danish electronic rock band Carpark North, released on 8 September 2008. The album has spawned four singles: "Shall We Be Grateful", "More", "Save Me from Myself" and "Leave My Place". ''Carpark North'' is the debut album by Danish electronic rock band Carpark North. It was released on 10 February 2003. Two songs from the album were previously released: "There's a Place" in 2001 on the airwaves of Danish national radio, and "40 Days" on Carpark North's ''40 Days EP''. The album was used as a soundtrack for the Danish teen-horror hit movie "Midsommer". The first single from the album, "Transparent & Glasslike" was an instant hit on the radio, and the album sold 10,000 units the first week. ''All Things to All People'' is the second studio album by Danish electronic rock band Carpark North. It was recorded in the early 2005 and released on 25 April 2005 through EMI. The idea behind the album was to "make the rock more hard and the electro more sparkling". Promotion "Human", the first single from the album, was accompanied by a powerful video by Danish director Martin de Thurah, which won several awards: a DMA (Danish Grammy) in 2006 for "Best video of the Year", "Best Music Video" at RESFEST, Los Angeles, a "Grand Prix" at the Festival International des Art du Clip in Provence, and was also exhibited at an art museum in Ontario, Canada. Oficina G3 is a Christian metal band from São Paulo, Brazil. Lead vocalist and guitarist Juninho Afram formed the band along with drummer Walter Lopes and bassist Wagner García in 1987. Through their history they have changed their musical style very drastically. Initially they were a heavy metal / hard rock band with influences from Petra and Stryper, then they changed to a more pop rock and metal oriented genre, and recently changing to a more progressive metal driven musical style.
