Lossiemouth United Football Club are a Scottish football club from the town of Lossiemouth, Moray that were latterly members of the Scottish Junior Football Association, North Region. The original club formed in 1949, lasting for ten years. The second incarnation ran from 1964 to 2015. Home matches are played at the Coulardbank Playing Fields where a pitch was enclosed to comply with SJFA regulations. Lossiemouth
Lossiemouth ( gd, Inbhir Losaidh) is a town in Moray, Scotland. Originally the port belonging to Elgin, it became an important fishing town. Although there has been over 1,000 years of settlement in the area, the present day town was formed over the past 250 years and consists of four separate communities that eventually merged into one. From 1890 to 1975, it was a police burgh as Lossiemouth and Branderburgh. Stotfield, the first significant settlement (discounting Kinneddar which has now disappeared), lies to the north west of the town. Next was the Seatown – a small area between the river and the canal inholding of 52 houses, 51 of which are the historic fisher cottages. 2022–23 North Region Junior Football League
The 2022–23 North Region Junior Football League is the 21st season of the North Region Junior Football League for SJFA North Region member clubs, and the 2nd season with its top division as part of the sixth tier of the Scottish football pyramid system. The league reverted back to a two-tier setup, featuring a 14-team Premier League and 16-team Championship. Banks O' Dee are the reigning champions but are unable to defend their title after gaining promotion to the Highland League. The Scottish football league system is a series of generally connected leagues for Scottish football clubs. The Scottish system is more complicated than many other national league systems, consisting of several completely separate systems or 'grades' of leagues and clubs. As well as senior football there is junior football, and also amateur football and welfare football. Scottish Junior Football North Division One
The Scottish Junior Football North Division One known as the McBookie.com First Division was the second tier of the North Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association. Clubs at the end of the season would be promoted to the North Superleague. From 2011, the division comprised two West and East sections running in parallel. Two years later the North Division Two, which clubs had previously been relegated into, was abolished as part of this change. From the 2016–17 season, the runners-up in each section played off for the right to meet the third-bottom club in the North Superleague for an extra promotion/relegation spot.
