Los Neuróticos
''Los Neuróticos'' is a 1971 Argentine comedy film co-written and directed by Héctor Olivera and starring Norman Briski, Susana Giménez and Victor Bo. It was originally produced and finished in 1969, but it was banned by the Argentine Classification Board (which was in charge of censoring films) during the following years. The film underwent several cuts to submit it again in order to receive classification, but in September of 1971 the censors maintained their decision to ban the film. After several cuts and a new ratification in October, the film was finally authorized to be released in November 1971. Synopsis The story of a psychoanalyst whose only goal is to impress the attractive women who attend his group therapies. Héctor Olivera (film Director)
Héctor Olivera (born 5 April 1931) is an Argentine film director, producer and screenwriter. Olivera worked mainly in the cinema of Argentina, but also has directed or contributed to several films made for the United States market. Biography He began his career when he was seventeen as a second assistant director and founded his own production company in 1956 at age twenty-five. He has produced over 100 features. In the United States he is known for two of his films: '' Night of the Pencils'' (1986) and ''Funny Dirty Little War'' (1983). After completing ''Funny Dirty Little War'', he directed five films for Roger Corman: ''Cocaine Wars'' (1985), ''Barbarian Queen'' (1985), ''Wizards of the Lost Kingdom'' (1985), '' Two to Tango'' (1988), and ''Play Murder for Me'' (1990). Víctor Bó (born 8 April 1943) is an Argentine actor and film producer. He is the son of classic actor and director Armando Bó, and father and uncle of Academy Award Winners for Best Original Screenplay Armando Bo and Nicolás Giacobone, respectively.
