Los Boricuas (CMLL)
''Los Boricuas'' (Spanish for the Puerto Ricans) was a Mexican ''Lucha Libre'' ( Professional wrestling) stable or group in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), one of Mexico's largest and the world's oldest professional wrestling promotions. The concept of the group was that a union of people born in Puerto Rico or in storyline terms "emigrated" to Puerto Rico, denouncing their Mexican heritage and embracing the Puerto Rican culture. The group was founded and led by Pierroth in 2000 and was together until the end of 2003 where it disbanded. In 2013 CMLL brought the concept back when they announced that a new Comandante Pierroth was putting together a new group of Boricuas, known as ''Comando Caribeño'' ("The Caribbean Commando"). The original team name referred to the Puerto Rican people, even though most of the wrestlers were not actually from Puerto Rico. Comandante Pierroth
Arturo Muñoz Sánchez is a Mexican '' luchador'', or professional wrestler who is best known for his time performing Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), portraying a ''rudo'' ("Bad guy") wrestling character La Bestia del Ring. He is the father of wrestlers William Arturo Muñoz González (aka, Rush) and masked wrestlers Dralístico and Dragon Lee, and often teams up with one or more of his sons. Apolo Dantés
José Luis Amezcua Muñoz (born September 28, 1968) is a Mexican '' luchador'', or professional wrestler, trainer and promoter, best known by his ring name Apolo Dantés. He is the son of Alfonso Dantés, a successful and respected ''luchador'' during the 1960s and 1970s. He was a longtime mainstay of Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) throughout the 1990s and now owns and operates "Dantés Lucha Factory" in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Universo 2000
Andrés Reyes González (April 18, 1963 – May 1, 2018) was a Mexican professional wrestler, or luchador, who was best known under the ring name Universo 2000. Reyes made his professional wrestling debut in 1985 and worked for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) and, International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). Reyes was a part of a wrestling family that includes his brothers Carmelo (who wrestles as Cien Caras) and Jesús ( Máscara Año 2000) as well as his nephew who wrestles under the name Máscara Año 2000 Jr. Together with his brothers he formed a group called '' Los Hermanos Dinamita '', also known as ''Los Capos'' when they teamed up with Apolo Dantés. Jesús Reyes González (born 10 March 1958) is a Mexican '' Luchador'', or professional wrestler, best known under the ring name Máscara Año 2000 or Máscara Año Dos Mil. His ring name is Spanish for "Mask of the year 2000", originally referring to the mask Reyes wore while wrestling. Reyes was forced to unmask when he lost a ''Lucha de Apuesta'' (bet match) to Perro Aguayo in 1993. Carmelo Reyes González (born October 18, 1949) is a Mexican retired professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, Cien Caras ("Hundred Faces"). Norberto Salgado Salcedo (born March 10, 1958) is a retired Mexican '' luchador'' (professional wrestler), primarily known under the ring name Pierroth Jr. Salgado made his professional wrestling debut on July 1, 1984, working as a '' luchador enmascarado'', or masked wrestler, using the name Pierroth Jr. He lost his mask as a result of losing a '' Lucha de Apuestas'' ("bet match") to La Parka in 1998. In the late 1990s Pierroth became known as Comandante Pierroth or simply Pierroth, leader of a faction of pro-Puerto Rican wrestlers in CMLL known as '' Los Boricuas'', notwithstanding him being born in Mexico.
