Los Angeles City Council District 2 is one of the 15 districts of the Los Angeles City Council. The 2nd District began its existence in the Hollywood area but now covers much of the far eastern and southeastern portions of the San Fernando Valley and parts of the Crescenta Valley. The current representative is Paul Krekorian. Demographics Council District 2 had a population of 260,065 people in 2012. There were 96,059 households, with an average size of 2.69 persons per household, according to a 2012 City of Los Angeles report on economic policy. The median household income in 2012 was $45,043. Per capita income for the district was 24,622. 14.3% of households earned an income below the poverty level. 45.7% of the population were Latino. Ventura Boulevard
Ventura Boulevard is one of the primary east–west thoroughfares in the San Fernando Valley region of the City of Los Angeles, California. Ventura Boulevard is one of the oldest routes in the San Fernando Valley as it was originally a part of the '' Camino Real'' (the trail between Spanish missions). Riverside Drive is a northeast–southwest road connecting the San Fernando Valley and Downtown Los Angeles, California. It follows the course of the Los Angeles River. Griffith Park
Griffith Park is a large municipal park at the eastern end of the Santa Monica Mountains, in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The park includes popular attractions such as the Los Angeles Zoo, the Autry Museum of the American West, the Griffith Observatory, and the Hollywood Sign. Los Angeles City Council District 1 is one of the 15 districts of the Los Angeles City Council, representing sections of Northeast Los Angeles and Northwest Los Angeles. Vermont Avenue is one of the longest running north–south streets in City of Los Angeles and Los Angeles County, California. Melrose Avenue is a shopping, dining and entertainment destination in Los Angeles that starts at Santa Monica Boulevard, at the border between Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. Los Feliz (, ; Spanish for "The Feliz amily, ) is a hillside neighborhood in the greater Hollywood area of Los Angeles, California, abutting Hollywood and encompassing part of the Santa Monica Mountains.
