Players Werner Blakely Werner Mathew Blakely (born February 21, 2002) is an American professional baseball third baseman in the Los Angeles Angels organization. Blakely attended Detroit Edison High School. He was drafted by the Angels in the fourth round of the 2020 Major League Baseball draft and signed with the team for $900,000, forgoing his commitment to Auburn University. Blakely made his professional debut with the Rookie-level AZL Angels and batted .182 with three home runs and 19 RBIs in 44 games. He spent 2022 with the Low-A Inland Empire 66ers of the California League, where he batted .295 with five home runs and 40 RBIs in 55 games. Double-A (officially Class AA) is the second-highest level of play in Minor League Baseball in the United States since 1946, below only Triple-A. There are currently 30 teams classified at the Double-A level, one for each team in Major League Baseball, organized into three leagues: the Eastern League, the Southern League, and the Texas League. The latissimus dorsi () is a large, flat muscle on the back that stretches to the sides, behind the arm, and is partly covered by the trapezius on the back near the midline. Bay City is a city and county seat of Bay County in the U.S. state of Michigan, located near the base of the Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron. The 2022 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft took place on July 17–19, 2022, in Los Angeles. The draft assigned amateur baseball players to Major League Baseball (MLB) teams. The draft order was based on the reverse order of the 2021 MLB season standings. In addition, compensation picks were distributed for players who did not sign from the 2021 MLB Draft. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. In the numbering system used to record defensive plays, the pitcher is assigned the number 1. Warwick is a town in the southwestern part of Orange County, New York, United States. Its population was 32,027 at the 2020 census.
