Lorie (film)
''Lorie'' is a 1984 Bollywood film directed by Vijay Talwar. The film stars Shabana Azmi, Farooq Shaikh, Naseeruddin Shah and Rohini Hattangadi among others. Plot Geeta Malhotra is depressed after she loses her child and the doctor declares that she will not be able to conceive again with her husband Bhupinder. One day she comes upon a small boy left behind inadvertently in the city bus by his family. She takes him home and starts treating him like her own son. She becomes obsessed with the child. Sagar Sarhadi
Sagar Sarhadi (11 May 1933 – 22 March 2021) was an Indian short story and play writer, and a writer, director and producer for film. Born in Baffa (then in British India and now in Pakistan), he began writing Urdu short stories and then continued as an Urdu playwright. Sagar Sarhadi was Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at ICA - International Cultural Artifact Film Festival in 2019 by Ashghar Wajahat. Yunus Parvez
Yunus Parvez (1931/1932 – 11 February 2007) was an Indian actor who played supporting roles in over 200 films from the late 1960s to the 2000s. He is best known for his roles in films like ''Garm Hava'' (1974), ''Deewaar'' (1975), '' Trishul'' (1978), ''Gol Maal'' (1979) and '' Mr. India'' (1987). Jagjit Kaur
Jagjit Kaur (May 1930 – 15 August 2021) was an Indian Hindi/Urdu singer and was married to the music director, Mohammed Zahur Khayyam. Personal life and death Kaur belonged to an aristocratic family from Punjab. She married composer Mohammed Zahur Khayyam in 1954, one of the first inter-communal marriages in the Indian film industry. They had a son, Pradeep, who died of a heart attack in 2012. Inspired by their son's helping nature, they started a trust, "Khayyam Jagjit Kaur KPG Charitable Trust" to help artistes and technicians in need. Khayyam died on 19 August 2019 following a cardiac arrest at the age of 92. Kaur died on 15 August 2021 at the age of 91. Pamela Chopra
Pamela Chopra (born 1938) is an Indian playback singer. She is the wife of veteran Bollywood film director Yash Chopra. She has also written and produced several films. Early life Chopra was born as Pamela Singh, the daughter of Mohinder Singh, an officer in the Indian Army. The eldest of three children, she has two younger brothers. Since her father was posted in several remote locations all over India, Chopra was educated at several army schools. She is a cousin of the actress Simi Garewal. Early life Aziz was born in Hyderabad, India to Abdul Azeem Khan and Sajida Abid, a famous Urdu writer and poet.
