Lorenzo Cherubini (; born 27 September 1966), better known as Jovanotti (), is an Italian singer-songwriter, rapper and disc jockey. The name Jovanotti derives from ''giovanotti'', the plural form of the Italian word ''giovanotto'' ("young man"). Cherubini initially chose "Joe Vanotti" as his stage name, but a promotional poster for a night club incorrectly billed him as "Jovanotti" and the name stuck. Sinkane (born Ahmed Abdullahi Gallab in London, England) is a Sudanese-American musician who blends krautrock, prog rock, electronica, free jazz and funk rock with Sudanese pop. He is signed to City Slang Records. Born to college professors in London, he lived in Sudan, then moved to the US when he was five, and lived for some time in Ohio. Prior to embarking on his solo career, he worked with Eleanor Friedberger, Caribou, of Montreal, Born Ruffians, and Yeasayer as a session musician. This is a list of best-selling albums by year in Italy. The Federation of the Italian Music Industry began publishing year-end lists for album sales in 2000. The charts are based on the cumulative total sales collected during the year from January to December. The only albums by foreign artists to top the Italian year-end chart were '' 1'' by The Beatles in 2000, and '' ÷'' by Ed Sheeran in 2017. Vasco Rossi achieved five annual best-selling albums in Italy with the records '' Stupido hotel'' in 2001, '' Tracks'' in 2002, '' Buoni o cattivi'' in 2004, ''Vivere o niente'' in 2011 and ''Sono innocente'' in 2014. International Federation of the Phonographic Industry Greece, or simply IFPI Greece, is the Greek branch of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) and is the official charts provider and recording sales certification body for Greece. Omar Hakim (born February 12, 1959) is an American jazz, jazz fusion and pop music drummer, producer, arranger and composer. He has worked with Weather Report, David Bowie, Foo Fighters, Sting, Madonna, Dire Straits, Bryan Ferry, Journey, Kate Bush, George Benson, Miles Davis, Daft Punk, Mariah Carey, The Pussycat Dolls, David Lee Roth, and Celine Dion. Early life Hakim was born in New York City on February 12, 1959. His father, Hasaan Hakim, was a trombonist. Omar started playing the drums at the age of five, and first performed in his father's band four or five years later. Career Hakim first came to major attention backing Carly Simon in 1980, and joined Weather Report in 1982.
