Loren H. White
Loren H. White (1863 in Duanesburg, New York – October 29, 1923 in Delanson, New York) was an American politician from New York. Life He was the son of Icabod White (1830–1887) and Olive A. (Hungerford) White (1837–1920). He engaged in the furniture and undertaking business. On June 28, 1900, he married Cora Macomber (1870–1948), and their son was Galen White (1901–1966). White was at times Postmaster of Delanson; a Justice of the Peace of Duanesburg; Supervisor of the Town of Duanesburg; and a Trustee of the Village of Delanson. He was a member of the New York State Assembly (Schenectady Co.) in 1909 and 1910. He was a member of the New York State Senate (31st D.) from 1911 to 1914, sitting in the 134th, 135th, 136th and 137th New York State Legislatures. In 1913, he voted for the impeachment of Governor William Sulzer, and was defeated for re-election in 1914. Duanesburg is a Administrative divisions of New York#Town, town in Schenectady County, New York, Schenectady County, New York (state), New York, United States. The population was 6,122 at the 2010 census. Duanesburg is named for James Duane, who held most of it as an original land grant. The town is in the western part of the county. History Originally known as Duanes' Bush, Duanesburg was established as a township by patent on March 13, 1765. According to ''Documentary History of New York'' Vol. lV, pg. 1067, "Mr. Duane entered in March, 1765 into contract with a company of twenty Germans from Pennsylvania of whom about sixteen (families) came on tract, and they made the first permanent settlement in that now flourishing town". William Sulzer
William Sulzer (March 18, 1863 – November 6, 1941) was an American lawyer and politician, nicknamed Plain Bill Sulzer. He was the 39th Governor of New York and a long-serving congressman from the same state. Sulzer was the first, and to date only, New York governor to be impeached and the only governor to be convicted on articles of impeachment. He broke with his sponsors at Tammany Hall, and they produced convincing evidence that Sulzer had falsified his sworn statement of campaign expenditures. Personal William Sulzer was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on March 18, 1863, the son of Lydia (Jelleme), who was Frisian, and Thomas Sulzer, a German immigrant.
