Loreen Ngwira also spelt as Laureen Ngwira (born 25 May 1993) is a Malawian netball player who plays for Malawi in the positions of GD and GK. Career Loreen has represented Malawi at the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and 2018 where Malawi finished at fifth and seventh positions respectively. She also took part in two Netball World Cup tournaments including the 2015 World Netball Championships and 2019 Netball World Cup where Malawi finished at sixth position in each occasions. She was part of the Malawian squad which finished at fifth position at the 2012 Fast5 Netball World Series. She was part of the Malawi team which finished at fifth position at the 2013 Fast5 Netball World Series. In the same tournament, Malawi stunned England twice in the round robin match and in the playoff for the fifth place. Manchester Thunder are an English netball team based in Manchester. Their senior team plays in the Netball Superleague. In 2005–06, Thunder were founding members of the league. They were Superleague champions in 2012, 2014, 2019 and 2022. Between 2001 and 2012 they played as Northern Thunder and were originally based in Bury, Greater Manchester. 2018 Fast5 Netball World Series
The 2018 Fast5 Netball World Series was the ninth staging of the annual Fast5 Netball World Series, and the sixth to be played under the new Fast5 rules, which replaced the older fastnet rules introduced in 2009. The tournament was held in Australia for the third time at Melbourne Arena in Melbourne, Victoria. The tournament was contested by the same six teams that competed last year. Overview Format 18 matches are played over two days, under the Fast5 rules of netball. Each team plays each other once during the first two days in a round-robin format. The 2021 Netball Superleague season was the sixteenth season of the Netball Superleague, the elite domestic netball competition in the United Kingdom. The season started on 12 February 2021. Manchester Thunder were the defending champions, as they won the 2019 season and the 2020 season was cancelled after three rounds due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of the ongoing pandemic, the first nine weeks of matches were held at Studio 001 in Wakefield, and the remaining matches were held at the Copper Box Arena in London. The 2020 Netball Superleague season was the fifteenth season of the Netball Superleague, the elite domestic netball competition in the United Kingdom. The season commenced on 22 February 2020. Manchester Thunder were the defending champions. Joyce Mvula
Joyce Mvula (born 15 April 1994) is a Malawian netball player. She was selected to represent the Malawi national netball team, Malawi netball team at the 2019 Netball World Cup. She played in the Netball Superleague with Manchester Thunder for 6 years from 2017 until 2022 after which she announced she would be leaving to play in another country. After helping Manchester Thunder win the 2022 Netball Superleague season, 2022 Netball Superleague title, Mvula announced that she was leaving the club. She subsequently signed for Central Pulse ahead of the 2023 ANZ Premiership season. Takondwa Lwazi also spelt as Takwonda Lwazi (born 15 May 1992) is a Malawian netball player who plays for Malawi internationally and for Malawian local club Blue Eagles in the positions of C and WA. She is known as one of the finest netball centre players to have played for Malawi despite being only 160cm tall in height. She also serves as a Police Sergeant in the Malawi Police Service.
