Loree Moore
Loree Marlowe Moore (born March 21, 1983) is a former professional basketball player for the New York Liberty in the WNBA. Moore started at the point guard position for the Liberty and wore jersey number 12. She has also played professional basketball in Turkey and Russia. Moore was selected as the tenth overall pick in the 2005 WNBA Draft. She attended the University of Tennessee, and played under Hall of Fame coach Pat Summitt. Born in Carson, California, Moore graduated from Narbonne High School in Harbor City, California. Moore was named a WBCA All-American. She participated in the 2001 WBCA High School All-America Game, where she scored eight points, and earned MVP honors. She is the younger sister of former Major League Baseball player Brian Hunter. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. Brian Hunter (first Baseman)
Brian Ronald Hunter (born March 4, 1968) is a former professional baseball player. He played all or parts of nine seasons in Major League Baseball between 1991 and 2000 for the Atlanta Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds, Seattle Mariners, St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies. While he was primarily a first baseman, he also appeared in nearly 100 games as an outfielder. He is currently a scout for the Braves. Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. USA Women's Pan American Team
The Pan American Team is one of the teams under the auspices of the USA Basketball organization. The Pan American Games are held every four years in the year before the Olympics. The first Pan American Games were held in 1951, but those games were men only. The second Pan American games in 1955 included women's teams. Eligible teams are the members of FIBA Americas. The USA has participated every year since the 1955 event, except for 1995, when the game were canceled, due to too few teams committed to play. Participants in the Pan American games included the very best ever to be part of the sport–ten players ended up in the Naismith Hall of Fame, including Cheryl Miller, Nancy Lieberman and Lusia Harris.
