Lord Francis Conyngham
Lord Francis Nathaniel Conyngham (24 September 1832 – 14 September 1880) was an Irish politician who sat in the United Kingdom Parliament as a member of parliament. Background Conyngham was a younger son of The 2nd Marquess Conyngham and Lady Jane, daughter of Field Marshal The 1st Marquess of Anglesey. He served in the Royal Navy and achieved the rank of lieutenant. Political career Conyngham was returned to Parliament for County Clare in 1857, a seat he held until 1859 and again between 1874 and 1880. Personal life Conyngham married the Hon. Georgiana Charlotte, daughter of The 1st Baron Tredegar, in 1857. There were no children from the marriage. He died in September 1880, aged 47. His wife later remarried and died in April 1886. Luke White, 2nd Baron Annaly
Luke White, 2nd Baron Annaly KP (26 September 1829 – 16 March 1888), was an Anglo-Irish Liberal politician. Annaly was the son of Henry White, 1st Baron Annaly, and his wife Ellen (née Dempster), and was educated at Eton. He served in the British Army and achieved the rank of captain in the 13th Light Dragoons and Lieutenant-Colonel in the Longford Rifles. In 1859 he was returned to Parliament for County Clare however unseated by petition the following year, and then represented County Longford from 1861 to 1862 and Kidderminster from 1862 to 1865. Annaly served in the Liberal administration of Lord Palmerston as a Junior Lord of the Treasury between 1862 and 1866. From 1868 to 1873 he was State Steward to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland the Earl Spencer. He also held the honorary positions of Sheriff of County Dublin in 1861 and of County Longford in 1871 and Lord-Lieutenant of County Longford from 1873 to 1874. William O'Shea
Captain William Henry O'Shea (1840 – 22 April 1905) was an Irish soldier and Member of Parliament. He is best known for being the ex-husband of Katharine O'Shea, the long-time mistress of the Irish nationalist leader Charles Stewart Parnell. Life Born in Dublin, O'Shea was a captain in the 18th Hussars of the British Army. Around 1880, his wife, Essex born Katharine O'Shea, entered into a relationship with the Irish nationalist leader Charles Stewart Parnell, with whom she had three children. O'Shea, who was already separated from his wife, knew of the relationship. James Patrick Mahon
Charles James Patrick Mahon (17 March 1800 – 15 June 1891), known as the O'Gorman Mahon or James Patrick Mahon, was an Irish nationalist journalist, barrister, parliamentarian and international mercenary. Personal life Mahon, the eldest of four children, was born into a prominent Roman Catholic family in Ennis, County Clare. His father was Patrick Mahon of New Park, who took part in the Rebellion of 1798; his mother Barbara, a considerable heiress, was the only daughter of James O'Gorman of Ennis. Mahon studied at Clongowes Wood College, where he was one of the earliest pupils, and at Trinity College Dublin, where he took his BA in 1822 and his MA in law in 1832. Until his father's death in 1821, he was sent an annual allowance of £500; afterward, he inherited half the family property, also becoming a magistrate for Clare. Sir Bryan O'Loghlen, 3rd Baronet (pronounced and sometimes spelt Brian O'Lochlen) (27 June 1828 – 31 October 1905), Australian colonial politician, was the 13th Premier of Victoria. Biography O'Loghlen was born in County Clare, Ireland, a younger son of the distinguished Irish judge Sir Michael O'Loghlen, 1st Baronet, and his wife Bidelia Kelly, and was educated at Trinity College, Dublin and was admitted to the Irish Bar in 1856. In 1862 he emigrated to Victoria and was appointed a Crown Prosecutor in 1863. He succeeded to his father's baronetcy in 1877 on the death of his brother, Colman, and in the same year he was elected, ''in absentia'', to the British House of Commons for County Clare, replacing his brother, but did not take his seat.
