Loose Tapestries
Loose Tapestries is an alternative music project consisting of Sergio Pizzorno (Kasabian), and comedian Noel Fielding. It was formed in 2012 to provide music for ''Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy''. Their first album, ''Loose Tapestries Presents the Luxury Comedy Tapes'', was released on 2 March 2012 as a digital download, and made available as a very limited edition of 500 records for Record Store Day on 21 April 2012. Kasabian touring members Ben Kealey and Tim Carter also worked on the album (with Carter credited at the end of the programme), while some of the designing was handled by regular Kasabian collaborator Aitor Throup. Their second album, ''N.H.S.,'' was released on 17 June 2016, and is the soundtrack from the show's second series, ''Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy 2: Tales from Painted Hawaii'', which began in July 2014. Comedy Music
Comedy music or musical comedy is a genre of music that is comic or humorous in nature. Its history can be traced back to the first century in ancient Greece and Rome, moving forward in time to the Medieval Period, Classical and Romantic eras, and the 20th century. Artists in the 20th century include Allan Sherman, Frank Zappa, Tiny Tim, Barenaked Ladies, Randy Newman, and "Weird Al" Yankovic. Noel Fielding
Noel Fielding (; (born 21 May 1973) is an English actor and comedian. He is best known for his work with The Mighty Boosh comedy troupe alongside Julian Barratt in the 2000s, and more recently as a co-presenter of ''The Great British Bake Off'' since 2017. He is known for his dark and surreal comedic style. In the 1990s, Fielding began performing stand-up comedy and met Barratt on the comedy circuit. Together, they produced a 2001 radio series called '' The Boosh'' for BBC Radio London. This was followed by the television show ''The Mighty Boosh'', which ran for three series on BBC Three from 2004 to 2007. The show generated a cult following and won a variety of awards. ''Luther'' is a British Psychological fiction, psychological crime thriller television series starring Idris Elba as DCI John Luther and Ruth Wilson as Alice Morgan, written by Neil Cross. The detective Luther must make cases against criminals while the murderer Morgan has a complicated relationship with him. The first series is composed of six episodes which ran in May and June 2010. A second series of four episodes aired on BBC One in June and July 2011, and a third was commissioned in 2012 composed of four episodes which aired in July 2013. Ben Kealey
Ben Kealey is the former English touring keyboardist for the rock band Kasabian. He was born in Leicester, England. Career Kasabian Kealey was the drummer in the band in its original format, when the band was still called Saracuse. In 2006, he rejoined the band (now named Kasabian) as the keyboard and synth player. In 2009, he became a permanent touring member of Kasabian, although he is not involved with most of the promotional work that the band does. He is credited on the band's albums ''West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum'' (2009), ''Velociraptor!'' (2011) and '' 48:13'' (2014). Record Store Day
Record Store Day is an annual event inaugurated in 2007 and held on one Saturday (typically the third) every April and every Black Friday in November to "celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store". The day brings together fans, artists, and thousands of independent record stores around the world. Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy
''Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy'', known as ''Luxury Comedy 2: Tales from Painted Hawaii'' for series two, is a British surreal comedy television series written and directed by Noel Fielding and Nigel Coan. The initial format for the series changes after the first series, with series one being a surreal sketch show, and series two being a sitcom. The series stars Noel Fielding, his brother Michael Fielding, Tom Meeten, Dolly Wells, and occasionally Rich Fulcher, Dave Brown, and Richard Ayoade. The first episode premiered on 26 January 2012 on E4. The music for the first series was written by Noel Fielding and Kasabian's Sergio Pizzorno, a good friend of Fielding's, under the band name Loose Tapestries. Sergio Lorenzo "Serge" Pizzorno (born 15 December 1980) is a British guitarist, singer and songwriter, best known for his work with the rock band Kasabian. He is Kasabian's primary songwriter since the departure of co-composer Christopher Karloff in 2006, and also the band's co-lead singer, and later being the sole lead singer following the 2020 sacking of Tom Meighan. He is also a member of Loose Tapestries alongside Noel Fielding and fellow Kasabian member Tim Carter, a group put together to produce music for Fielding's TV series ''Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy''. Aitor Throup (born 1980, Buenos Aires, Argentina) is an artist, designer and creative director. Throup is best known for his menswear label 'New Object Research' which has shown at London Fashion Week Men's. Throup's G-Star Raw Research line is shown during Paris Fashion Week in a gallery setting. His work for, and collaborations with, Damon Albarn, Kasabian, Flying Lotus, Umbro, C.P.
