Looking Glass (EP)
"Looking Glass" is a single/ EP by Canadian electronic rock band The Birthday Massacre. Unlike their previous single, "Red Stars", the ''Looking Glass EP'' is a physical release rather than a digital download available through iTunes. It is the second single released for their second full-length album ''Walking With Strangers''. This is also the fourth song to have a music video. As well as including the title track, the EP includes remixes of "Red Stars", "Weekend", and "Falling Down" from the album ''Walking with Strangers''. There are also two new songs: "I Think We're Alone Now", originally recorded by Tommy James and the Shondells but popularized by Tiffany in the late 1980s, and "Shiver". In addition, the EP includes the ambient track "Nowhere" which is a re-recording of "The Night Loop" (which was the background music to the band's website). The Birthday Massacre
The Birthday Massacre (abbreviated TBM) is a Canadian rock band , formed in 1999 in London, Ontario, and currently based in Toronto, Ontario. The current lineup consists of lead vocalist Sara 'Chibi' Taylor, rhythm guitarist Michael Rainbow, lead guitarist Michael Falcore, keyboardist Owen Mackinder, drummer Philip Elliott, and bassist Brett Carruthers. When the band formed in 1999, they were known as 'Imagica'. This name was inspired by the 1991 fantasy novel ''Imajica'' by Clive Barker. In 2002, they changed the name to The Birthday Massacre after one of their earlier songs in order to avoid confusion with another group. The song ''The Birthday Massacre'' was then renamed ''Happy Birthday''. According to their vocalist Chibi: "it kind of works well for the music that we're making. Sort of contrasty, you know? Tommy James and the Shondells are an American pop rock/psychedelic rock band, formed in Niles, Michigan, in 1964. Dean Garcia (born 3 May 1958) is an English multi-instrumentalist musician, best known as a member of the alternative rock duo Curve from 1990 to 2005. He also released solo work and collaborated with many other artists. Biography Garcia was born in London, England, from a Hawaiian, Irish and English background. He had played in some small bands when he auditioned for Eurythmics. He had played bass guitar as part of Eurythmics' live band in 1983–84 and on two of their studio albums, ''Touch'' and '' Be Yourself Tonight''. Dean Garcia and Toni Halliday were introduced to each other by David A. Stewart from Eurythmics.
