Look Both Ways (2005 Film)
''Look Both Ways'' is a 2005 Australian drama film, written and directed by Sarah Watt, starring an ensemble cast, which was released on 18 August 2005. The film was supported by the Adelaide Film Festival Investment Fund and opened the 2005 Adelaide Film Festival. It won four AFI Awards, including Best Film and Best Direction. The film was selected as a film text by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority for the VCE English Course from 2007 to 2010. Plot The film charts the stories of several people over a hot summer weekend in Adelaide. Photojournalist Nick (William McInnes) discovers he has testicular cancer that has spread to his lungs. On his way home he goes to the site of a train accident to report on it, and meets Meryl (Justine Clarke) an emotionally vulnerable artist, who has witnessed a man get run over by a train. Sarah Ann Watt (30 August 19584 November 2011) was an Australian film director, writer and animator. Biography Born in Sydney, Watt completed a Graduate Diploma of Film and Television (Animation) at the Swinburne Film and Television School (now Victorian College of the Arts), Melbourne in 1990. Her student film ''Catch of the Day'' was to reflect the style of future work. In 1995, she directed a short film, ''Small Treasures'', which won Best Short Film at the Venice Film Festival. In 2000, she made a program for the SBS series ''Swim Between the Flags ''called "''Local Dive''". It was made concurrently with another project that she was directing called "''The Way of the Birds''" based on the 1996 book of the same name by author Meme McDonald. Mary Kostakidis
Mary Kostakidis (born 1954) is an Australian journalist. She is the former weeknight '' SBS World News Australia'' presenter and was the face of SBS over two decades. Early life She was born in Thessaloniki, Greece and migrated to Australia with her family two years later. Testicular Cancer
Testicular cancer is cancer that develops in the testicles, a part of the male reproductive system. Symptoms may include a lump in the testicle, or swelling or pain in the scrotum. Treatment may result in infertility. Risk factors include an undescended testis, family history of the disease, and previous history of testicular cancer. More than 95% are germ cell tumors which are divided into seminomas and nonseminomas. Other types include sex-cord stromal tumors and lymphomas.
