Lonneke Slöetjes
Lonneke Slöetjes (born 15 November 1990) is a Dutch volleyball player, who plays as an opposite spiker. She is a member of the Netherlands women's national volleyball team, Women's National Team. She plays as of 2015 for Vakıfbank Spor Kulübü, VakifBank Istanbul. Career Slöetjes started playing at VC Varsseveld. In 2015, she played with the national team at the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. During the Volleyball at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's tournament#Awards, 2016 Olympic Games, Slöetjes helped the Netherlands reach their first semifinal, finishing fourth and being chosen as Best Opposite Spiker of the tournament. She won the Best Opposite Spiker award in the 2016 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix, 2016 FIVB World Grand Prix. Varsseveld
Varsseveld is a town in the Netherlands, located in the Dutch municipality of Oude IJsselstreek. History Middle Ages At the start of the twelfth century, Varsseveld was part of the County of Lohn, a county within the Holy Roman Empire with its seat in Stadtlohn, nowadays Germany. Count Godschalk I of Lohn's son Goldschalk built an estate in the village. In 2009, during the reconstruction of the village core, archeologists found out that the village probably had a town canal at that time, similar to that of neighbouring estates and towns such as Bredevoort. After the Battle for Bredevoort between 1326 and 1326, the village was conquered by Reginald II, Duke of Guelders and became under influence of the Duchy of Guelders. In 1723, a fire hit the village, burning down all the buildings, including the church. 2016 FIVB Women's Club World Championship
The 2016 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship, FIVB Women's Club World Championship was the 10th edition of the event. It was held for the first time in the Philippines, on 18–23 October 2016 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. For the first time, eight teams competed, including four wild cards. The Philippine Super Liga and Eventcourt was in charge of organizing the tournament, together with the Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. (LVPI), the national federation for volleyball.
