Long View Farm
Long View Farm Studios was a music recording studio located in North Brookfield, Massachusetts which was founded in 1974 by Gilbert Scott Markle, a professor at Clark University, on his farm property. It was the location of recordings from many well-known musicians and bands, and it was used by the Rolling Stones as a rehearsal studio in 1981. Markle died on March 20, 2015, aged 74. Recording Studio
A recording studio is a specialized facility for sound recording, mixing, and audio production of instrumental or vocal musical performances, spoken words, and other sounds. They range in size from a small in-home project studio large enough to record a single singer-guitarist, to a large building with space for a full orchestra of 100 or more musicians. ''Plans'' is the fifth studio album by indie rock band Death Cab for Cutie, released August 30, 2005 on Atlantic Records. The album spawned three singles: " Soul Meets Body", " Crooked Teeth", and "I Will Follow You into the Dark", with all three songs charting. "Soul Meets Body" and "Crooked Teeth" reached number five and number ten, respectively, on the US Alternative Songs chart. ''Pandora's Box'' is a compilation album, released on November 19, 1991 by Aerosmith. Issued by Columbia Records to capitalise on the band's newfound success with Geffen, the box set consists of three discs that cover Aerosmith's output from the 1970s and early 1980s. Alongside alternate versions, previously unreleased songs, live renditions and remixes, ''Pandora's Box'' features previously released studio material. The original issue was as a long cardboard-box, containing three CDs (each in its own jewel-case, with inserts) and booklet that detailed the tracks and had comments from the band members. Later issues did away with the outer box, utilising a cardboard slipcase, but reproduced the booklet in 'CD-size'. ''Let's Be Nice'' is the second album by Boston post-grunge band Birdbrain released on February 18, 1997, on TVT Records.
