''Long Time No See'' is the third studio album by American singer Chico DeBarge. It was released by Kedar Entertainment and Universal Records on November 18, 1997 in the United States. Chielfy produced by DeBarge, it peaked at number 86 on the US ''Billboard'' 200. Critical reception AllMusic editor Stephen Thomas Erlewine rated the album three out of five stars. He found that ''Long Time No See'' "tries desperately to fit into the trends of the '90s, adding street-level, bass-heavy rhythms and hip-hop beats to his productions ..Chico weathers the changes quite well, but he can't make the mediocre tracks (and there are too many of them) convincing, and that prevents ''Long Time No See'' from being completely successful. Even so, it's a solid, respectable comeback that suggests DeBarge may be able to regain some of the ground he lost in the early '90s." Chico DeBarge
Jonathan Arthur "Chico" DeBarge (born June 23, 1966) is an American R&B singer and musician. DeBarge was formally a member (for their final album) of the family musical group DeBarge. As a solo artist he scored a 1986 US Top Forty hit with the song "Talk to Me". Biography Recording career He began a musical career of his own with Motown in the mid-1980s. His debut self-titled album was released in 1986 and featured the hit single "Talk To Me" (#21 US, #7 R&B). The album peaked at #90 on the Billboard 200 and released a follow-up single "The Girl Next Door" which charted on the R&B chart. Two years later, he released a second album with Motown, ''Kiss Serious'' that included the hit R&B single "Rainy Night" (#18 R&B) plus "I've Been Watching You" (#43 R&B) and the title track (#53 R&B). Trouble Man (song)
"Trouble Man" is a song composed and written by American recording artist Marvin Gaye released on the Motown subsidiary, Tamla, in November 1972. The song became one of Gaye's signature songs for the remainder of his life and would later be the basis of a biography as a sort of nickname for him. The album version of the song was the only one released as a single in November 1972, where it became a top ten hit on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 reaching number seven on that chart in January 1973. Background The song is the title track and theme for the blaxploitation film of the same name. ''Vibe'' is an American music and entertainment magazine founded by producers David Salzman and Quincy Jones. The publication predominantly features R&B and hip hop music artists, actors and other entertainers. Marvin Pentz Gay Jr., who also spelled his surname as Gaye (April 2, 1939 – April 1, 1984), was an American singer and songwriter.
